Faizon Love was born on June 14, 1968 in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba as Langston Faizon Santisima. He is an actor and writer, known for Elf (2003), Couples Retreat (2009) and Friday (1995).
He is of Afro-Cuban descent. Grew up in Newark, New Jersey and San Diego, California.Started as a stand-up comedian at 15 years old.
Love co-starred in Couples Retreat (2009), a comedy film chronicling four couples who partake in therapy sessions at a tropical island resort. In 2012, he played the role of Stringer Bell in the satirical trailer for The Wire: The Musical. In June of that year, Love started to appear in a series of commercials for the pre-paid wireless provider Boost Mobile, promoting its new 4G phones.
Love filmed Matthew 18, an indie horror film in Minnesota.

Faizon Love wasn’t a very popular person on social media over the weekend. The comic, best known for his role as an elf in Elf , didn’t exactly win over any new fans after referring to black people as monkeys and women as b–tches on Twitter.
It all started when Love posted a photo on Instagram as a way of showing support for Bill Cosby:
