HABANA: REMODELING THE CUBA’S NATIONAL CAPITOL.
Cubans began touring again in the Capitol, imposing architectural structure once rejected as a symbol of American imperialism, but now being restored to its reopening as the seat of the National Assembly by the Communist government of Cuba.
Built in 1929 to host the Congress of the Republic of Cuba, the building was used quickly to other functions after the revolution of 1959, along with other facilities such as the presidential palace, as they were seen as legacies of corrupt governments covered by the United States, Reuters reported.
“Back to resume here the 59, I think it was at that time wanted to erase something,” said Jorge Cisneros, one of the main architects of the restoration of the building.
The Capitol of Havana, which hosted recently by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, is appreciating again at the approach of the restoration of diplomatic relations between the United States and Cuba on 20 this July.
Architects refused to give a date for its reopening or when the National Assembly (parliament) would have its first meeting on Capitol Hill, and the amount of the arrangements.

APURAN LA REMODELACIÓN DEL CAPITOLIO NACIONAL DE CUBA.
Los cubanos comenzaron de nuevo a hacer turismo en el Capitolio Nacional, imponente estructura arquitectónica una vez rechazada como símbolo del imperialismo estadounidense, pero ahora en proceso de restauración para su reapertura como sede de la Asamblea Nacional por el Gobierno comunista de Cuba.
Construido en 1929 para acoger al Congreso de la República de Cuba, el edificio fue usado rápidamente para otras funciones después de la revolución de 1959, junto a otras instalaciones como el Palacio Presidencial, pues eran vistas como legados de gobiernos corruptos amparados por Estados Unidos, informó Reuters.
“Volver a retomar aquí el 59, me parece que era en aquel momento algo que se quería borrar”, aseguró Jorge Cisneros, uno de los principales artífices de la restauración del edificio.
El Capitolio de La Habana, que fue sede recientemente del Ministerio de Ciencias, Tecnología y Medio Ambiente, se está apreciando nuevamente ante la proximidad del restablecimiento de relaciones diplomáticas entre Estados Unidos y Cuba el 20 de este mes de julio.
Los arquitectos se negaron a ofrecer una fecha para su reapertura o cuándo la Asamblea Nacional (Parlamento) tendría su primera sesión en el Capitolio, así como el monto de los arreglos.
