Me parece notorio que La Habana imite ahora a Miami y anuncie de correcorre celebraciones por el aniversario 50 del equipo Industriales. Y, sobre todo, que el sitio superoficialista Cubadebate ponga fotos de los “desertores” René Arocha y Orlando El Duke Hernández al hacer la historia del emblemático conjunto.
Al parecer los funcionarios de la pelota cubana han caído en que se les fue el tren y resulta demasiado sospechoso que los homenajes al principal equipo del pasatiempo nacional por las últimas décadas hayan comenzado en Miami, la ciudad maldita de la propaganda castrista. Maldita para la nomenclatura, porque la gente sabe de dónde llegan las remesas.
Nadie se había acordado del aniversario de Industriales hasta que empezó a moverse el asunto desde Miami, empujado por el empresario Alejandro Cantón y su organización Somos Cuba. O casi nadie, porque el periodista Yasiel Porto, comentarista deportivo de la emisora COCO y ahora de visita en Miami, fue quien primero lanzó la propuesta en una peña cultural en La Habana.

No ha sido un proceso exento de trabas y retrancas por parte de las autoridades cubanas desde que surgió la iniciativa, y los testimonios hablarán en su momento. Pero lo cierto es que una vez aprobadas las visas estadounidenses, los 10 de Industriales viajaron a Miami y comenzó la controversia por la sede de los partidos. Tenía que ser así, o no sería un asunto cubano.
De Miami no se habla
Pero esto merece ponerse en perspectiva, porque para la prensa cubana -el Granma, sus clones impresos y los noticieros nacionales, no los sitios digitales y cuatro blogs oficialescos- todavía no son noticia los juegos celebrados en Tampa y los dos que tendrán lugar este sábado en Fort Lauderdale.
Con los partidos en marcha en el sur de la Florida, comenzó a moverse la cosa en Cuba, sin mencionar a Miami. El pasado jueves salió un vocero de la Dirección de Deportes en La Habana, un tal René Bocourt, a anunciar un “extenso programa de actividades” y ”un encuentro entre las glorias de Industriales en la isla”. El partido ya tiene fecha y será el 29 de septiembre en el estadio Latinoamericano.
ORLANDO “EL DUKE” HERNANDEZ
Según el funcionario las actividades comenzarán este fin de semana y se extenderán hasta el 2014, con recorridos de jugadores y veteranos de Industriales por centros laborales, hospitales, e instituciones científicas y militares.
Pero el tal Bocourt tiene que ponerse de acuerdo, pues la propia prensa oficial ya se le había adelantado con otra fecha del comienzo de las celebraciones. Según publicó el diario Tribuna de La Habana el pasado 24 de agosto, las actividades de homenaje a los Azules se iniciaron en La Habana el viernes 23, con una gala en el Centro de Convenciones de Cojímar.
En la galeria de fotos publicadas (22), aparecen también otros imprescindibles de la historia azul y ahora exiliados en Miami, como Manolito Hurtado y Agustin Marquetti, ambos sin coletilla.
Pelota, música y razones
A nadie le pasaría por la cabeza prohibir que quienes se sientan molestos y “humillados” por la presencia de 10 glorias de Industriales en Miami, vayan a manifestarlo públicamente. Como lo han hecho otras veces por la visita de los Van Van o Pablo Milanés. Pero me parece que el verdadero triunfo contra el régimen de enfrente es la normalidad con que se asuman estos intercambios culturales y deportivos, y se muestre a un Miami abierto y tolerante, cosmopolita y vital, una sociedad madura y un exilio capaz de discrepar sin violencias ni repudios.

Es cierto que la pelota, como el arte y otras actividades creadoras, fue politizado por Fidel Castro para sus fines y maniobras desde el poder. Pero la pelota como la música, se sacudirán siempre en Cuba de los estigmas politicos, porque son parte indisoluble de la idiosincrasia y el ser nacional.
Lo que va a quedar de este viaje de Industriales a Miami son los recuerdos y los abrazos. La manera en que los 10 visitantes también se han transformado en el contacto con una parte indisoluble de Cuba que los admiró allá y los recibe ahora aquí como un tributo a la nostalgia y la memoria, que no son parcelas de ningún sistema político.
