PIDEN CONGRESISTAS CUBANO-AMERICANOS SE IMPIDA AL GRUPO “Arnaldo y su Talisman” ENTRADA EN ESTADOS UNIDOS.
El congresista republicano Mario Díaz-Balart y otros congresistas cubano-americanos solicitaron este jueves al gobierno del Presidente Barack Obama que impida la entrada a Estados Unidos de artistas que participen en actos de repudio contra disidentes cubanos en la isla.
La declaración del legislador cubanoamericano se produce a raíz de reportes de prensa que indican que el grupo Arnaldo y su Talismán, que participó este martes en un acto represivo contra el grupo cívico Estado de Sats, viajará próximamente a Estados Unidos como parte de un intercambio cultural.

La propuesta de Díaz-Balart fue secundada por una carta al Departamento de Estado del caucus cubanoamericano del Congreso, suscrita por Díaz Balart, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Albio Sires y Joe García.
“La Administración de Obama no debe permitir que estos cómplices de la dictadura asesina de Castro entren en los Estados Unidos”, indicó Díaz-Balart.
DIEGO GUTIERREZ PARTICIPO EN ACTO DE REPUDIO CONTRA DISIDENTES EN CUBA (Dec. 11,2013)
El legislador recordó que la propia proclamación presidencial “Suspensión de Entrada como inmigrantes y no inmigrantes de las personas que participan en violaciones de los derechos humanos, del derecho Humanitario y otros abusos“, emitida por Obama, el 4 de agosto del 2011, prohíbe que extranjeros que hayan cometido o ayudado en abusos contra los derechos humanos entren a territorio estadounidense.

La agrupación Arnaldo y su Talismán y el trovador Diego Gutiérrez participaron en un “acto cultural” montado frente a la casa del director de Estado de Sats, Antonio Rodiles, durante dos días consecutivos, para tratar de boicotear un encuentro por el Día de los Derechos Humanos. Arnaldo se presentó en la improvisada tarima el 11 de diciembre.
Una foto tomada por el cantautor Boris Larramendi desde el interior de la casa sitiada, muestra a Arnaldo cantando y rodeado de niños con uniforme escolar.
Decenas de estudiantes de enseñanza primaria y secundaria fueron trasladados al lugar y usados en el acto de repudio.
REPRESION POLITICIAL EN ENCUENTRO PACIFICO DE DISIDENTES (Dec 11,13)
El Departamento de Estado criticó este jueves la ola represiva desatada por el gobierno cubano contra los opositores en ocasión de la jornada mundial por los derechos humanos.
“Deploramos las duras tácticas del gobierno cubano para impedir el reconocimiento pacífico al Día de los Derechos Humanos de la sociedad civil cubana”, indicó en un comunicado Marie Harf, portavoz adjunta del Departamento de Estado. “Estados Unidos aspira al día en que cada cubano, sin importar su opinión política, pueda expresarse libremente sin miedo de hostigamiento o violencia física de su gobierno”.

CUBAN-AMERICANS IN CONGRESS ASK TO PREVENT ANTI-DISSIDENTS GROUP “Arnaldo and his Talisman” ACTING IN U.S.
Republican Congressman Mario Diaz- Balart and other Cuban- American congressmen on Thursday asked the government of President Barack Obama to prevent entry into the United States of artists participating in acts of repudiation against Cuban dissidents on the island .
The statement of the Cuban legislature in the wake of media reports that said the group Arnaldo y su Talisman , who participated Tuesday in a repressive act against civic group Sats State , will travel to the United States as part of a cultural exchange .

The Diaz -Balart proposal was seconded by a letter to the State Department ‘s Cuban-American congressional caucus , signed by Diaz Balart , Ileana Ros- Lehtinen , Albio Sires and Joe Garcia.
” The Obama Administration should not allow these complicit in the murderous dictatorship of Castro entering the United States ,” Diaz -Balart said.

The lawmaker recalled that the presidential proclamation itself “Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and nonimmigrants of persons involved in violations of human rights, humanitarian law and other abuses ,” issued by Obama on August 4, 2011 , prohibits aliens who have committed or assisted in human rights abuses from entering U.S. territory.

The Arnaldo y su Talisman grouping and the troubadour Diego Gutiérrez participated in a ” cultural event ” mounted in front of the house of the director of State Sats , Antonio Rodiles , for two consecutive days , to try to boycott a match for Rights Day human . The State Department on Thursday criticized the crackdown unleashed by the Cuban government against opponents on the occasion of the world day for human rights .
“We deplore the Cuban government’s harsh tactics to prevent the peaceful recognition of Human Rights Day of Cuban civil society ,” said Marie Harf said in a statement , deputy State Department spokesman . “America aspires to the day all Cubans , regardless of their political views, to express themselves freely without fear of harassment or physical violence from their government.”
