El cantante cubanoamericano lo anunció por sorpresa en su cuenta de Twitter, adelantándose a la FIFA.
We are one, del rapero cubanoamericano Pitbull, en colaboración con Jennifer López y la brasileña Claudia Leitte, será la canción oficial del Mundial de Brasil, según anunció por sorpresa el cantante en su cuenta de Twitter, adelantándose a la FIFA.
“Una canción une al mundo We are One”, escribió Pitbull en su perfil en la red social, en un mensaje acompañado de una foto suya junto a Claudia Leitte, y en el que, además de la brasileña, se refirió a Jennifer López y a la Copa del Mundo de Fútbol, reportó EFE.
“Obrigado” (gracias, en portugués), añadió el cantante, quien esta mañana colgó otra foto en la red social en la que se ve su nombre artístico junto al logotipo del Mundial de Brasil.
La FIFA aún no ha confirmado que ésta sea la canción del torneo, aunque unas horas antes del tuit de Pitbull avanzó, también en Twitter, que hoy habría “noticias emocionantes” y añadió a su mensaje el hashtag dedicado a la canción We are one.
“¿Una Copa Mundial sin los sonidos de los mejores músicos? Mañana (por hoy) llegará una noticia emocionante…”, señaló la FIFA.
Pitbull y Jennifer López ya han colaborado anteriormente en otras tres ocasiones, la última el año pasado, en el tema Live it Up, que aparecerá en el próximo disco de la cantante y actriz estadounidense de origen puertorriqueño.
La canción del Mundial de Sudáfrica de 2010 fue la conocida Waka Waka, de la colombiana Shakira con el grupo sudafricano Freshly Ground, cuyo vídeo oficial ha sido visto más de 600 millones de veces en YouTube.
We are one será la tercera canción de un Mundial de cantantes latinos, después de la de Shakira y La Copa de la Vida, de Ricky Martin, para la Copa del Mundo de Francia de 1998.
Martin grabará también una canción para el disco oficial del Mundial de 2014, que empieza el 12 de junio, ya que será uno de los jueces del concurso internacional organizado para escoger una de las canciones que se incluirán en el álbum, interpretada también por el artista puertorriqueño.
