Yaima became a singer in a informal way. In 2002, She obtained a degree in Physical Education. During her student years, she was a member of a choir. That’s where her interest in becoming a singer first emerged.
In 2005, She was invited to Havana to take part in the Boleros de Oro Festival (“Golden Age Bolero Festival”) and many people in the world of culture insisted I participate. She thought, then, that so many people could not be mistaken and decided to become a professional singer.
Yaime Saez was born in Camaguey. Incidentally, “my city will soon celebrate 500 years since its founding””, she said.
Asked if she has been influenced by other great Cuban singers, she responds “When you sing something like Mil congojas (“A Thousand Sorrows”), you can’t help worry people will think of Elena Burque, because of the characteristics of my voice”. and continues “Up to a certain point, it is a privilege to be placed alongside such renowned figures. Voz de contralto cubana Yaima Saez ‘ transporta a la época dorada de la música cubana .
Yaima se convirtió en un cantante de una manera informal. En 2002 , obtuvo una licenciatura en Educación Física. Durante sus años de estudiante , ella era un miembro de un coro. Ahí es donde surgió por primera vez su interés en convertirse en cantante .
En 2005 , fue invitada a La Habana para participar en el Festival Boleros de Oro ( ” Festival Bolero Edad de Oro “) y muchas personas en el mundo de la cultura insistió en que participo . Pensó , entonces, que tanta gente no podía confundirse y decidió convertirse en cantante profesional.
Yaime Sáez nació en Camagüey. Por cierto, ” mi ciudad pronto se va a celebrar los 500 años de su fundación ” , “ella dijo .
Cuando le preguntaron si ella ha sido influenciado por otros grandes cantantes cubanos , ella responde ” Cuando cantas algo como Congojas Mil ( ” Mil Dolores ” ) , no se puede ayudar a preocupar a la gente va a pensar de Elena Burque , debido a las características de mi voz ” . y continúa ” Hasta cierto punto, es un privilegio para ser colocado junto a personajes relevantes . Ahí es donde el reto es , en la creación de su propio estilo, de modo que, a pesar de que la gente se puede comparar a una persona , sino que también se puede decir que la persona que canta es Yaima Saez En cualquier caso , hay que extraer de todas estas grandes voces, de Elena Burque , Omara Portuondo , Moraima Secada, Celia Cruz – . son verdaderos maestros de los cantantes de la actualidad.
Fue , sin duda, una experiencia imprescindible , porque de lo que aprendemos de estas mujeres que recordamos con tanto cariño y lo que aprenden de nosotros, la nueva generación de cantantes cubanos .
Espero poder seguir cantando y espero Las Divas , un día se celebrará en Cuba . Por su parte , han dicho que se sienten muy orgullosos de que este estilo de música está viva y bien en Cuba ” .
