PELICULA CUBANA “MELAZA” NOMINADA PARA LOS PREMIOS ARIEL DEL CINE MEXICANO.
Compite en la categoría de mejor película iberoamericana, junto a producciones de Chile, España, Uruguay y Argentina.
Las cintas Gloria (Chile-España), Melaza (Cuba), Wakolda (Argentina), Anina (Uruguay) y 15 años y un día (España) fueron nominadas este lunes en la categoría de mejor película iberoamericana para los 56º Premios Ariel del cine mexicano, informa AFP.
Melaza, el primer largometraje dirigido por el realizador y guionista Carlos Lechuga, es una historia de supervivencia y de pérdida de valores.
La película transcurre en el pueblo de un central azucarero cerrado por el Gobierno, donde un joven matrimonio intenta sobrevivir.
Los actores mexicanos José María Yazpik y Marina de Tavira fueron los encargados de anunciar la lista de nominados para los Ariel, que en la categoría nacional encabezan las laureadas Heli, de Amat Escalante, y La Jaula de Oro, de Diego Quemada-Díez, con 14 nominaciones cada una.
Por otro lado, el guatemalteco Brandon López, uno de los amateurs que protagonizan el drama migratorio de La jaula de oro, está nominado a mejor actor.

Compete in the category of Best Latin American film , alongside productions from Chile, Spain , Uruguay and Argentina .
The Gloria (Chile- Spain ) , Melaza ( Cuba ) , Wakolda ( Argentina ) , Anina ( Uruguay ) and 15 tapes and a Day ( Spain ) were nominated Monday in the category of Best Latin American film for 56th Ariel Awards Film Mexican , reports AFP .
Molasses , the first film directed by the director and writer Carlos Lechuga , is a story of survival and loss of values.
The film is set in the village of a sugar mill closed by the government, where a young couple trying to survive .
Mexican actors José María de Tavira Yazpik and Marina were in charge of announcing the nominees for Ariel , who lead the national category prizewinners Heli, Amat Escalante, and The Golden Cage , Diego Quemada – Diez, with 14 nominations each.
On the other hand , the Guatemalan Brandon Lopez, one of the amateur drama starring migration of the golden cage , is nominated for best actor.
