Policías y técnicos del monopolio estatal ETECSA desmantelaron una red inalámbrica clandestina en la localidad habanera de Víbora Park, mediante un “aparatoso operativo”, informó el partido ‘Cuba Independiente y Democrática’ (CID).
La intervención de las fuerzas represivas puso fin a una conexión inalámbrica de la que se servían unos 120 usuarios. Según las autoridades, la red Wi-Fi proveía “servicio ilegal” de internet, entre otras actividades. El internet, una actividad de información y distracción que es una actividad normal en cualquier parte del mundo. La información es y ha sido el enemigo número uno de una administración cerrada a la modernidad.
El blog de CID indicó que fueron decomisados “equipos costosos y poco asequibles para un cubano, como los Nano M2 (dispositivo de alta potencia para multiplicar la señal inalámbrica)”, cuyo valor en el mercado negro en la Isla “excede los 230 CUC”.
El creador de la red, que pidió el anonimato por temor a represalias, explicó que “nada malo o prohibido se comparte por esas redes”.
“Ya en una ocasión me quitaron una red donde tenía 400 usuarios”, dijo, y advirtió a las autoridades que volverá a desarrollar “nuevas estrategias para disfrutar de un servicio clandestino pero no dañino para nadie”.
