Arrestan a un pasajero en Cuba por intentar sacar 66 colibríes cosidos a sus pantalones. El sujeto, que afirmó que llevaba una paloma en la entrepierna para no levantar sospechas, intentaba volar con los animales a EE.UU.
Un hombre ha sido detenido en el aeropuerto internacional Ignacio Agramonte (ubicado en la ciudad cubana de Camagüey) cuando trataba de coger un vuelo de vuelta a Estados Unidos con nada menos que 66 colibríes cosidos dentro de sus pantalones. Al menos, así lo ha afirmado la versión digital del diario «Daily Mail».
El individuo fue capturado por las autoridades aeroportuarias cuando pretendía pasar la aduana. En ese momento, la seguridad del centro observó que el hombre caminaba muy despacio y tenía unas extrañas protuberancias en los pantalones, por lo que los agentes le pidieron que los acompañara para realizar en una sala privada un registro corporal.
«Cuando vio que lo habíamos atrapado trató de mentir y dijo que llevaba una paloma en los pantalones como un regalo para su nieto» afirma, en declaraciones recogidas por el popular diario británico, uno de los agentes de seguridad. A su vez, el individuo trató de huir en repetidas ocasiones, aunque sin lograrlo.

Una vez atrapado, los agentes le obligaron a quitarse los pantalones, donde el sujeto guardaba una curiosa sorpresa: 66 colibríes cosidos en el interior. Muchos de ellos, a su vez, tenían el pico sellado para evitar que, con su canto, fueran descubiertos. Todos los animales pertenecían a especies poco conocidas y, probablemente, el hombre pretendía sacarlos del país para venderlos luego por miles de dólares –un tipo de contrabando que ya se ha hecho en varias ocasiones-.

The guy was caught by airport authorities when he tried to pass the custom . At that time, the security of the center noted that the man was walking very slowly and had a strange lumps in their pants , so that agents asked him to accompany him to a private room in a body search .
