El cantautor dice que hay asuntos en los que no está de acuerdo con los raperos, pero reconoce que tienen el ‘derecho a pensar y a cantar como escojan’.
LA HABANA- El cantautor Silvio Rodríguez ha salido en defensa de Aldo El Aldeano y su hijo, el también rapero Silvito el Libre, tras verse envueltos en una controversia sobre un proyecto de la USAID para ayudar al rap contestatario en la Isla.
Rodríguez dedicó un post en su blog, Segunda Cita, a la polémica avivada por la agencia AP. “Tanto Aldo, amigo de mi hijo, como Silvio Liam, que cree en mí como yo en él, son espíritus rebeldes, sin posesiones materiales”, destacó el cantautor.
El músico prosigue señalando en su defensa que ambos “salieron de Cuba, como decimos aquí, ‘con una mano alante y la otra atrás’: ricos apenas de sus sueños, arropados por aplausos de muchachos más bien incomprendidos, a menudo abusados, hijos de desamparos e intemperies”.
Tras lamentar algunos titulares sobre la información revelada por la agencia, el cantautor comentó que tanto Aldo como Silvito saben que en muchos temas no piensa como ellos, “aunque me empeñe en defender su derecho a pensar y a cantar como escojan”.
El músico agregó que “como padre, y también como artista, espero que aprendan de lo que les sucede y que les aproveche, muy convencido de que ‘ser culto es el único modo de ser libre'”. El artista concluye su comentario enviando a la USAID “para el carajo”.

HAVANA- The singer Silvio Rodriguez has come out in defense of Aldo The Villager and his son, rapper Silvito Libre, after being involved in a dispute over a USAID project to help the hardcore rap on the island.
Rodriguez dedicated a post on his blog, Segunda Cita, the controversy fueled by the AP. “Both Aldo, a friend of my son, as Silvio Liam, who believes in me and I in him, are rebellious spirits, not material possessions,” said the singer.
The musician goes on to say in his defense that both “out of Cuba, as we say here, ‘with one hand in front and one behind’: rich just dreams, tucked applause rather misunderstood boys, often abused children distresses and bad weather “.
Lamenting some headlines on the information disclosed by the agency, the singer said both Aldo and Silvito know that on many issues does not think like them, “although I strive to defend their right to think and sing as they choose.”
The musician added that “as a father, and also as an artist, I hope to learn from what happens and take them very convinced that ‘being educated is the only way to be free.'” The artist concludes his commentary sending USAID “to fuck”.
