The selection criteria for choosing this gallery of 613 men grounded in two basic principles: being born in Cuba (or have Cuban national) and have participated in at least one season of winter baseball at any time. SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL DATA
Holds the record for throwing two no hits, no runs, consecutively. Although very different competitions, the feat is only comparable with the American Johnny Vander Meer in the majors. He came to the National Series with 26, but remained 14 seasons in which wore flannels of Sugar clubs, Eastern, Central, Las Villas and Rice. It pains punished for throwing arm, retired at age 39 without exceptional numbers. He left, however, the memory of his two Zero Hits followed as unique paradigm in the history of Cuban baseball until today.

Esta sección está dedicada a los jugadores que fundaron y sostuvieron con su talento el béisbol invernal cubano desde las primeras décadas de su existencia hasta el presente. El criterio de selección para escoger esta galería de 613 hombres lo fundamenté en dos principios básicos: haber nacido en Cuba (o haberse naturalizado cubano) y haber participado, en al menos, una temporada del béisbol invernal en cualquier época. Como quiera que también dichas etapas poseen características muy particulares, no sólo por las condiciones económicas y las situaciones políticas en que se desarrollaron (colonia, república y socialismo).

BREVE FICHA BIOGRÁFICA
Posee el récord de tirar dos juegos sin hits, ni carreras, de modo consecutivo. Aunque en certámenes muy diferentes, la hazaña es sólo comparable con la del norteamericano Johnny Vander Meer en las Grandes Ligas. Llegó a las Series Nacionales con 26 años, pero se mantuvo por 14 campañas, en las cuales vistió las franelas de los clubs Azucareros, Orientales, Centrales, Las Villas y Arroceros. Castigado por dolores en el brazo de lanzar, se retiró a los 39 años sin números excepcionales. Dejó, en cambio, el recuerdo de sus dos Cero Hits seguidos como paradigma irrepetible en la historia del baseball cubano hasta el día de hoy.
