The authorities in Cuba are prepared to turn Cuba into a destination for cheap health care for Americans as reported by the journal Malaysian Insider. Cuba opened a space to medical deals in the international fair The New York Times Travel Show held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York.
Cuba’s competitors in a possible medical market cheaper than the US health care system is looking with particular attention the recent events in Cuba and the restoration of relations with the United States.
“In the New York Times Travel Show, Cuba also showed its medical facilities for American consumers who feel that geographical proximity to Cuba is an advantage compared to taking long-haul flights to distant destinations,” said Malaysian Insider publishing watching the island as a possible competitor.
The export of medical and health tourism are a major source of income for Cuba.

Las autoridades en Cuba se preparan para convertir a Cuba en un destino de cuidados médicos barato para estadounidenses según reportó la revista especializada Malaysian Insider. Cuba abrió un espacio a sus ofertas médicas en la feria internacional The New York Times Travel Show, celebrada en el Jacob Javits Center en Nueva York.
Los competidores de Cuba en un posible mercado medico más barato que el sistema de salud estadounidense está mirando con especial atención los últimos sucesos en Cuba y el restablecimiento de las relaciones con Estados Unidos.
“En el New York Times Travel Show, Cuba también mostró sus instalaciones médicas para los consumidores estadounidenses que sienten que la proximidad geográfica a Cuba es una ventaja en comparación con tomar vuelos de largo recorrido a destinos lejanos” dijo la publicación de Malaysian Insider que ve a la isla como un posible competidor.
