La denuncia sobre presiones y amenazas que estarían sufriendo los médicos cubanos para que los familiares que los acompañan de forma temporal en Brasil regresen a Cuba, ha provocado que opositores a Dilma Rousseff exijan explicaciones y una actitud firme de su gobierno ante la acción violatoria del régimen cubano en territorio extranjero.
Según las últimas revelaciones del diario Folha de São Paulo, el gobierno de Cuba ha llegado a amenazar con la inhabilitación del título a los profesionales que insistan en mantener familiares en Brasil. La coacción, denunciada de manera anónima, va desde visitas y charlas de funcionarios del Ministerio de Salud Pública (MINSAP) hasta la retención en Cuba de médicos a quienes les tocó vacaciones -que deben ser obligatoriamente tomadas en la isla- y dejaron familiares en Brasil.
Hasta tanto el familiar en Brasil no regrese a Cuba, al médico no se le permitiría reincorporarse a la misión, denunció el diario.
El Partido de la Social Democracia Brasileña (PSDB), liderado por el senador Aecio Neves, adversario de Rousseff en las pasadas elecciones, promovió con éxito la convocatoria del Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Mauro Viana, ante la Comisión Parlamentaria de Derechos Humanos y Minorías, para discutir el respeto de los derechos humanos de los médicos cubanos participantes del programa de asistencia sanitaria del gobierno.
Según el promotor de la iniciativa, el diputado Daniel Coelho, “la justificación de que en Cuba las cosas son así, no es aceptable”, y la presión sobre los familiares de los profesionales cubanos “hiere los derechos y garantías fundamentales de la ley brasileña”. Aún más cuando las normas de Más Médicos autorizan que el participante del programa venga al país acompañado de su familia.
“Necesitamos comprender los límites de la injerencia de Cuba y de esta acción diplomática a la que Brasil se somete”, agregó el político.
A prestar cuentas
Por otra parte, el senador Ronaldo Caiado, habitual crítico del programa Más Médicos, anunció en su página de Facebook que llamará a prestar cuentas ante la misma Comisión de Relaciones Exteriores a la Ministra de Derechos Humanos, Ideli Salvatti, ante lo que calificó de “ataques y omisión del gobierno del Partido de los Trabajadores (PT) a los derechos humanos de los cubanos”.
El senador Caiado finalizó su inflamada declaración con críticas al PT y su política de apoyo a “los dictadores de la familia Castro”, anunciando que orientaría a los cubanos que se vean afectados a pedir refugio al Comité Nacional para los Refugiados (Conare).
“Así podrán ser libres, obtener documentos y recomenzar una nueva vida en familia”, expresó el parlamentario.
Más tarde, el senador volvió a la red social para publicar la Ley 9.474/97, correspondiente al refugio, y una guía de pasos a seguir para acogerse al beneficio.
