CONSTRUYEN “EL MALECÓN” DE SANTIAGO DE CUBA.
Atrapar de un solo vistazo a la bahía de bolsa de Santiago de Cuba y a las montañas que descienden, no será más un deseo reprimido para quienes desanden por la Alameda de la ciudad.
Cada uno de los muchos parapetos que impedían la contemplación de ese amorío entre tierra y mar fueron derrumbados y ahora el llamado paseo marítimo se muestra seductor en cada uno de sus tramos, aún cuando las labores constructivas no concluyen sino hasta el primero de julio, como regalo a los 500 años de la fundación de la otrora villa de Santiago de Cuba (25 de julio).
Un malecón de 470 metros de largo, parques infantiles, gimnasio biosaludable, chanchas deportivas, un restaurante que se ancla sobre el mar sostenido en pilotes de concreto, surtidores de agua, luminarias, bancos, papeleras, jardineras… va delineándose con el liderazgo de la Oficina del Conservador de la Ciudad, el concurso de numerosas empresas y la participación de cientos de santiagueros, quienes disfrutan de una nueva conquista que los ufana: tener malecón.
