Erislandy Lara defeated Friday wide unanimous decision over Delvin Rodriguez and retained the middleweight title of the World Boxing Association in Chicago, reports Univision.

Erislandy Lara derrotó el viernes por amplia decisión unánime a Delvin Rodríguez y retuvo el título superwelter de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo en Chicago, informa Univisión.
El cubano no tuvo ningún problema con el dominicano, dominó la pelea de principio a fin, tanto así que se tornó bastante aburrida para los aficionados en la arena y los que la vieron por televisión, el espectáculo no fue bueno y el público lo hizo saber con abucheos.
Lara fue muy rápido y preciso, usó bien su movimiento de piernas y siempre salía bien de los infructuosos ataques de Delvin.
La emoción más fuerte llegó cuando el sexto rollo agonizaba, un gancho de izquierda del cubano envió de bruces a Rodríguez, quien se puso de pie. Cuando el campeón fue a terminarlo la campana sonó.
Todos esperaban más de la batalla, pero se encontraron con un choque monótono, sin adrenalina y que Lara supo llevar a buen puerto.
La pelea recorrió los 12 episodios y los jueces vieron: 120-107 en las tres tarjetas, todo para Erislandy Lara, quien a pesar de su buen boxeo sigue sin convencer a los fans.
