JAPANESE THEATER OF SHADOWS “KAGEBOUSHI” WILL PERFORM IN CUBA.
The Shadow theater “Kageboushi”, the largest of its kind in Japan, will be presented for the first time in Cuba on Tuesday and Wednesday with two free performances, including an artistic tour of seven countries in Central America and the Caribbean, reported today its promoters.
The director of the Japanese theater company, Yasuaki Yamasaki said at a press conference that will present works by the use of techniques and body puppets shadows of the performers in the functions offered in the National Theater of Havana.
For an hour and a half show, “Kageboushi” submit to the Cuban public parts “The tree mochi”, “Grateful Crane”, “Unfurl the wings of imagination. Whirlwind emotions” and “Hands up who wants to have fun “the latter of silent theater.
It will also offer a small workshop for children, teens and spectators in general, in which participants can interact in works creating shadows with their bodies.
Yamasaki also said the group under his leadership is interested in establishing partnerships with other cultures
Created 37 years ago, this consists of eleven people, cast cultivates a very special art of color shades and movements, and their repertoire includes works based on traditional Japanese music and also adult books.

“KAGEBOUSHI”, EL TEATRO DE SOMBRAS JAPONÉS SE PRESENTARÁ EN CUBA.
El teatro de sombras “Kageboushi”, el mayor de su tipo de Japón, se presentará por primera vez en Cuba el martes y miércoles próximos con dos actuaciones gratuitas, incluidas en una gira artística por siete países de Centroamérica y el Caribe, informaron hoy sus promotores.
El director de la compañía de teatro japonés, Yasuaki Yamasaki, explicó en rueda de prensa que se presentará obras con el empleo de las técnicas de marionetas y de la sombras corporales de los ejecutantes en las funciones que ofrecerán en el Teatro Nacional de La Habana.
Durante hora y media de espectáculo, “Kageboushi” presentará al público cubano las piezas “El árbol del mochi”, “La grulla agradecida”, “Desplegad las alas de la imaginación. Torbellino de emociones” y “Que levante la mano quien quiera divertirse”, esta última de teatro mudo.
Además ofrecerá un pequeño taller para niños, adolescentes y espectadores en general, en el que los participantes podrán interactuar en las obras creando sombras con sus cuerpos.
Yamasaki también explicó que el colectivo bajo su dirección se interesa por establecer vínculos de colaboración con otras culturas
Creada hace 37 años, este elenco integrado por once personas, cultiva un arte muy especial de sombras en colores y movimientos, y en su repertorio reúne obras basadas en cuentos tradicionales japoneses y además musicales para adultos.
