En los últimos meses se han vuelto cada vez más frecuentes las visitas de celebridades internacionales a Cuba, quienes llegan para comprobar “in situ” los atractivos de una isla otrora “prohibida” y ahora abierta al mundo tras el restablecimiento de las relaciones con EEUU en julio pasado.
En las últimas semanas los habaneros han visto caminar por sus calles a más estrellas de la música y el deporte mundial que en los últimos 50 años, un entusiasmo que no ha hecho más que empezar según pronostican los cubanos, optimistas y hasta incrédulos ante la afluencia de famosos como Mick Jagger y Katy Perry, los últimos en apuntarse a la tendencia.
La cantante estadounidense hizo un alto a mediados de este mes en su gira “The Prismatic World Tour” por Latinoamérica, para visitar La Habana -no una, sino dos veces- y sorprender a los habituales del popular centro cultural y de ocio “Fábrica de Arte Cubano”, destino casi obligado de quienes llegan a la capital cubana.
Perry incluyó en su recorrido una visita a la compañía infantil de teatro “La Colmenita” y un encuentro el pasado jueves con la sexóloga Mariela Castro, hija del presidente cubano, Raúl Castro, e impulsora de campañas contra la homofobia en la isla comunista, con quien la norteamericana departió en un bar privado.
Este pasado viernes, la propia cantante divulgó algunas de sus fotografías de su paso por Cuba en la red social Instagram, que acompañó con un entusiasta texto sobre sus impresiones sobre la isla: “Yo vi los colores en Cuba. Nunca seré la misma!”, señaló Perry, según recoge la web oficial Cubadebate.
La visita de la intérprete de “Roar” fue ampliamente cubierta por la prensa estatal -en la que antes era difícil encontrar información de este tipo- y mediante la que también se conoció de la estancia en Cuba el martes 13 de octubre de uno de los mejores boxeadores de la historia, el norteamericano Floyd Mayweather.
Mayweather visitó centros de entrenamientos y compartió con seguidores, como hicieran en junio los futbolistas españoles Sergio Ramos, Raúl y el brasileño Edson Arantes Do Nascimento “Pelé”, los dos últimos como parte de la delegación del Cosmos de Nueva York en su inédito viaje a la isla.
Aunque pocos pudieron ver al mítico cantante británico Mick Jagger en La Habana, músicos cubanos, y luego el propio Jagger, publicaron imágenes y testimonios en las redes sociales de su paso por la capital cubana, visita que aumentó los rumores de un posible concierto de los Rolling en esta capital en marzo de 2016.
Fotos recientes revelaron el motivo del viaje que a primeros de septiembre pasado realizó el cantante estadounidense Usher, junto un grupo de amigos entre los que se encontraba el rapero Ludacris.
Más que a degustar café y tabacos cubanos, Usher llegó a La Habana para casarse con la productora Grace Miguel, en una ceremonia íntima en la azotea de La Guarida, uno de los restaurantes privados más exclusivos de la ciudad, y que ha tenido como clientes desde la reina Sofía de España hasta la cantante Beyoncé y su esposo Jay Z.
El aire “vintage”, sus personajes, la luz y sus escenarios pintorescos también han hecho de Cuba un escenario codiciado para diseñadores y revistas de moda, que en ediciones recientes han publicado varios editoriales con fotografías en las calles habaneras.
La revista norteamericana “Vanity Fair” reveló recientemente el resultado de su sesión de fotos con la conocida cantante barbadense Rihanna en mayo pasado, en la que se puede ver a la artista posando en varias locaciones de la Habana Vieja y rodeada de los admiradores y curiosos que llenaron la calles para verla.
Entre las imágenes, tomadas por Annie Leibowitz, una de las fotógrafas más famosas del mundo, la que más cejas levantó fue la de un desnudo de la cantante de “Diamonds” sobre una cama, replicado por el sitio oficial “Cubadebate” de la isla, ante el asombro de sus lectores.
La “fiebre” por Cuba no ha hecho más que empezar: medios locales avanzaron esta semana que la icónica casa de moda Chanel realizará en la isla en Cuba su primer desfile en una pasarela de América Latina y lo hará con su colección Crucero el 3 de mayo de 2016, de la mano del director creativo de la firma, el alemán Karl Lagerfeld.
