Las FAR advierten que ‘el país no debe descuidar la defensa de su soberanía’ a pesar del acercamiento a EEUU. En el último año se concentran en el estudio de ‘la lucha contra las acciones de desgaste sistemático del enemigo’, indica un informe de balance.
Un informe de las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias (FAR) advierte que, a pesar del deshielo entre La Habana y Washington, “el país no debe descuidar la defensa de su soberanía”. El documento fue presentado el sábado en el marco del Pleno del Consejo Nacional de la Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC), este pasado 14 de Noviembre según informa Granma.
En el documento, las FAR analizan, entre otros aspectos, el proceso de inscripción y los planes de reclutamiento a las unidades regulares, que se cumplió según lo planificado, señala el periódico del Partido Comunista ‘Granma’.
En este ámbito, el informe apunta que la inserción de mujeres al Servicio Militar Voluntario ascendió a 691 jóvenes, 181 más que en la misma etapa del año anterior.
En cuanto a la preparación de los órganos de mando, el informe subraya la realización de los entrenamientos conjuntos de jefes y órganos de mando, donde se estudiaron los temas relacionados con “las acciones ante situaciones de riesgo o amenaza a la seguridad del país y la lucha contra las acciones de desgaste sistemático del enemigo”.
Asimismo, el informe señala que la preparación de reservistas y milicianos se cumplió en correspondencia con los programas de estudio, alcanzando niveles adecuados en los oficiales.
En el periodo analizado se aportaron 57,9 millones de pesos a las Milicias de Tropas Territoriales (MTT).
Estos recursos fueron destinados a los cursos de formación y superación de los oficiales de las MTT y de los funcionarios y dirigentes de los gobiernos locales.
La presentación del informe estuvo a cargo del general de brigada Jorge L. Méndez de la Fe, segundo jefe de la Dirección Política de las FAR.
Tras la presentación, el viceministro primero de las FAR, Álvaro López Miera, habló sobre el compromiso de las FAR para seguir utilizando con mayor eficiencia los recursos destinados a la defensa del país.
