The Dodgers have agreed to a six-year contract with the Cuban pitcher Yaisel Sierra, valued between 30 and 33 million dollars, according to the MLB.com site.
Miami Marlins and Chicago Cubs were among the teams that showed interest in Sierra.
Given his age and experience, Sierra, 24, is not subject to the rules of international firms or financial restrictions imposed on clubs like the Dodgers, who have invested in international players in the last year.

Los Marlins de Miami y los Cachorros de Chicago estuvieron entre los equipos que mostraron interés en Sierra.
Dada su edad y su experiencia, Sierra, de 24 años, no está sujeto a la reglas de firmas internacionales ni a las restricciones financieras que se le imponen a clubes como los Dodgers, que han invertido en jugadores internacionales en el último año.
