NEW CUBAN FILM “LAST DAYS IN HAVANA” RELEASED.
Renowned Cuban filmmaker Fernando Perez puts the finishing touches on his new film which is already at the stage of post-production in Spain. Last days in Havana, for which also toyed with the title Chupa lollipop, will be available next February 20 in a digital copy, as Perez said Thursday several media.
The shooting of the film, which its creator has defined as a cheerful drama was held in the Havana neighborhood of the sites. It is co-produced by the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) and Spanish companies Besa Films and Wanda Vision S.A, with a script written by four hands between Perez and the young Abel Rodriguez.
The plot deals with the theme of friendship in the midst of a city becomes a character in the story through realistic picture. This uniqueness about films like Suite Habana, although less symbolic, said the director of Madagascar and Clandestine.

On the site where the story unfolds, lacking key figures in the Cuba of today with its contradictions and problems. Actors Jorge Martinez and Patricio Wood embody the characters of recent days in Havana: two friends, Diego and Miguel, who live together. Other familiar faces of Cuban cinema and make special cameos as Coralia Veloz.
Perez fans waiting for the new work is accompanied by the labeled human sensitivity and quality that have characterized his work for decades. The wall of words, its previous production in 2014 won three awards at the side 36 of the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema.

FILM CUBANO “ÚLTIMOS DÍAS EN LA HABANA” SE ESTRENA.
El reconocido cineasta cubano Fernando Pérez da los últimos toques a su nueva película que ya se encuentra en la etapa de postproducción en España. Últimos días en La Habana, para la que se barajó también el título Chupa pirulí, estará disponible el próximo 20 de febrero en una copia digital, según comentó este jueves Pérez a varios medios.
El rodaje de la película, que su creador ha definido como un drama alegre, se realizó en la barriada habanera de Los Sitios. Se trata de una coproducción entre el Instituto Cubano del Arte e Industrias Cinematográficos (ICAIC) y las compañías españolas Besa Films y Wanda Visión S.A, con un guion escrito a cuatro manos entre Pérez y el joven Abel Rodríguez.
La trama aborda el tema de la amistad en medio de una ciudad que se convierte en un personaje más de la historia a través de la fotografía realista. Esta singularidad la acerca a películas como Suite Habana, aunque con una menor carga simbólica, explicó el director de Madagascar y Clandestinos.

En el solar donde se desarrolla la historia, no faltan personajes claves de la Cuba de hoy con sus contradicciones y problemas. Los actores Jorge Martínez y Patricio Wood encarnan a los protagonistas de Últimos días en La Habana: dos amigos, Diego y Miguel, que viven juntos. Otras rostros conocidos del cine cubano hacen apariciones especiales y breves, como Coralia Veloz.
Los seguidores de Pérez aguardan porque la nueva obra venga acompañada de esa marcada sensibilidad humana y la calidad que han caracterizado su trabajo por décadas. La pared de las palabras, su anterior producción, conquistó en 2014 tres premios colaterales en la edición 36 del Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano.
