La estadounidense Fathom (Carnival) anuncia su primer crucero a Cuba para el 1 de mayo. El crucero comenzará y terminará en domingo y hará los viajes a Cuba una semana sí y otra no.
La compañía de cruceros Fathom, del grupo estadounidense Carnival, lanzará en mayo un viaje a Cuba de siete días con escalas en varios puertos de ese país, con Miami como punto de salida y llegada, según informó en una feria del sector.
Fathom, que se declara orgullosa de estar “entre las primeras compañías de cruceros que han obtenido permiso de las autoridades estadounidenses para viajes de ida y vuelta entre EEUU y Cuba”, hizo el anuncio en la feria Seatrade Cruise Global, que se inauguró este lunes en Fort Lauderdale, a unos 50 kilómetros de Miami, y es considerada la más importante del mundo en su sector.
En la web de Fathom ya es posible hacer reservas para el crucero a Cuba, que tiene unos precios base que van desde 1.800 dólares por persona en camarote interior hasta 7.320 dólares en una suite.
Si no hay inconvenientes de última hora, el Adonia 1, con capacidad para 704 pasajeros, iniciará el viaje inaugural de la línea el 1 de mayo y ese mismo día llegará a La Habana.
El crucero comenzará y terminará en domingo y hará los viajes a Cuba una semana sí y otra no.
Según el programa, los primeros dos días están dedicados a actividades culturales en La Habana, el tercero es de “inmersión cultural” en el mar, el cuarto tiene prevista la llegada a Cienfuegos, donde permanecerá hasta el día siguiente, y el quinto llegará a Santiago de Cuba, última escala en Cuba.
El crucero tiene unos precios base que van desde 1.800 dólares por persona en camarote interior hasta 7.320 dólares en una suite.
Desde Santiago el crucero zarpará el sexto día hacia Miami, adonde llegará el séptimo día.
Entre otros atractivos el crucero ofrece un paseo cultural por la Habana Vieja, comida en un restaurante local, visitas a lugares habaneros relacionados con el escritor Ernest Hemingway, a la Plaza de la Revolución y el Cementerio Colón, asistencia a una actuación del coro Cantores de Cienfuegos y un recorrido por sitios históricos de la guerra entre Estados Unidos y España en 1898.
El Gobierno de EE UU anunció este martes nuevas regulaciones para seguir aumentando el comercio y los viajes con Cuba, entre las que destaca que por primera vez se permitirán las visitas individuales de estadounidenses a Cuba con fines educativos, sin necesidad de formar parte de un grupo como ocurría hasta ahora.
