Excellent percussionist, pianist, composer and Cuban producer who runs his own orchestra, which bears the name of Maykel Blanco and Salsa Mayor.
With immediacy, this young musician has snuck into the preference of Cuban and international public, as a faithful follower of the richness of Cuban popular music, which some have described as “musical machine Cuba”.
Since 2008 it is located at the top of the Hit Parade radio in Cuba and continually gaining followers. That year travels back to Europe to launch his album Anda and Pégate, published with Planet Records, where Maykel shudders once again the stage with the contagious rhythm of his Cuban timba.

In 2010 in Peru also he received a plaque and tribute as the Group of the Year, a fact that was repeated in 2011.
