RELACIONES U.S – CUBA: INTERCAMBIARAN FESTIVALES CULTURALES ENTRE PAÍSES.
Autoridades de EEUU y Cuba esperan que el Harlem/Havana Music & Cultural Festival se realice anualmente. El festival se hará primero en Harlem, Nueva York, del 15 al 21 de agosto, y posteriormente se llevará a La Habana en febrero de 2017.
Del 15 al 21 de agosto se llevará a cabo el primer intercambio cultural entre Cuba y Estados Unidos, titulado Harlem/Havana Music & Cultural Festival, a desarrollarse primero en Nueva York con representantes de la isla.
Artes musicales, visuales e interpretativas, gastronomía, educación, ballet y moda destacarán en este evento, que se desarrollará en La Habana en febrero de 2017.
Uno de los artistas que participará en la edición de Harlem será el cantante estadounidense Smokey Robinson, quien visitó Cuba en abril pasado. “La Habana fue una maravillosa experiencia para mí. Espero que la relación con el evento de Harlem (y) La Habana abra las relaciones de viaje libre entre Cuba y los Estados Unidos”, declaró Robinson.
El gobernador de Nueva York, Andrew Cuomo, quien fue la primera autoridad de dicho cargo en visitar Cuba tras la reducción de las restricciones de viaje y comercio entre ambas naciones, fue el encargado de anunciar recientemente la realización del evento.
Se espera que el Harlem/Havana Music & Cultural Festival se lleve a cabo anualmente, para agudizar el intercambio entre ambas naciones.

U.S. and Cuban authorities expect that the Harlem/Havana Music & Cultural Festival is conducted annually. The festival will be first in Harlem, New York, 15-21 August, and subsequently will be Havana in February 2017.
