After many years without direct a film , Colombian Sergio Cabrera is back with the film “They All Go” (“Todos Se Van”), based on the autobiographical novel of the same title, by Cuban writer Wendy Guerra .
Wendy Guerra, born 11 December 1970 in Habana formally Wendy Guerra Torres Gomez de Cadiz, is a Cuban poet and novelist. After a career acting in Cuban film and television, she turned to writing and won recognition more readily in international circles than within Cuba. Her works have been translated into thirteen languages.
She has been described as “a kind of diva of contemporary Cuban literature”.
The novel “They All Go” has been translated into French, English, Italian and German. It was published in 2006 and I won the Novel Prize Bruguera. Colombian filmmaker adapted by Laura Martel and Ramon Jimeno , the latter also produced the film .
“They All Go” tells the story of Nieve Guerra, an eight- year-old described by a daily separation from their parents in the Cuba of the eighties and the struggle for custody, as well as their daily lives to the present as it is divided into two parts: daily diary childhood and adolescence.
Eve, the mother of Snow, is a revolutionary artist who has remarried to Dan , a Swede who works in the construction of a nuclear project , while Manuel , the father, is a playwright who sacrifices himself to write a pamphlet theater remote area of the country.
Cabrera explains that this is his most personal film . Is identified largely with this story, because of the many similarities with his own experiences during the sixties : ” It is a reflection on how power affects children and youth. When you’re a child , especially in authoritarian regimes , some believe that the State is skilful to educate parents . I lived it in my childhood in China. parents believed that the state could deal better education than themselves , “says the filmmaker , as Noticine.com.

Unlike his other film productions coral, all leave is closer to an intimate film , a few characters , where the focus is on them and on their emotions .
Part of the filming takes place in the city of Santa Marta , Colombia , and Bogota . The little snow girl is played by Rachel Mojena .

Tras varios años sin dirigir una película, el colombiano Sergio Cabrera regresa con el largometraje ‘Todos se van’, basado en la novela autobiográfica, de igual título, de la escritora cubana Wendy Guerra.
Wendy Guerra, nacida el 11 de diciembre de 1970 en la Habana formalmente, Wendy Guerra Torres Gomez de Cadiz, es una poeta cubana y novelista. Después de una carrera actuando en televisión y cine cubano, ella dio vuelta a la escritura y ganó el reconocimiento más fácilmente en los círculos internacionales que dentro de Cuba. Sus obras se han traducido a trece idiomas.
La novela ha sido traducida al francés, inglés, italiano y alemán. Se publicó en 2006 y obtuvo el I Premio de Novela Bruguera. El cineasta colombiano la adaptó junto a Laura Martel y Ramón Jimeno, este último también productor de la película.

Todos se van cuenta la historia de Nieve Guerra, una niña de ocho años que describe a través de un diario la separación de sus padres en la Cuba de los años ochenta y la lucha por obtener su custodia, así como su vida cotidiana hasta la actualidad, ya que está dividido en dos partes: diario de infancia y diario de adolescencia.
Eva, la madre de Nieve, es una artista revolucionaria que se ha vuelto a casar con Dan, un sueco que trabaja en la construcción de un proyecto nuclear; mientras Manuel, el padre, es un dramaturgo que se sacrifica para escribir teatro panfletario en una zona remota del país.
Cabrera explica que se trata de su película más personal. Se identifica en gran medida con esta historia, debido a las múltiples similitudes con sus propias vivencias durante los sesenta: “Es una reflexión acerca de cómo el poder afecta a la infancia y la juventud. Cuando uno es niño, sobre todo en regímenes autoritarios, hay quienes creen que el Estado es más hábil que los padres para educar. Yo viví eso en mi infancia en China. Los padres creían que el Estado podía ocuparse mejor de la educación que ellos mismos”, asegura el cineasta, según Noticine.com.
“La película es un canto a la libertad y una confrontación a la autoridad”, señala la web del filme en Facebook.
A diferencia de sus otras producciones de cine coral, Todos se van se acerca más a un cine intimista, de pocos personajes, donde la atención se centra en estos y en sus emociones.
Parte del rodaje se realiza en la ciudad de Santa Marta, Colombia, y también en Bogotá. La pequeña Nieve es interpretada por la niña Rachel Mojena.
