Loves never Forgotten.
A young graceful Cuban girl, called Ines, daily visited the Church of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in Cuba’s Capital, where the look of a young Spanish Captain struck him in the heart. They were talking at the door of the religious site before departing in each encounter and houses of friends accomplices were the refuge of passionate love.
Without offering details, confessed to his parents the love secret of your heart, but as it was the custom of the time, the father had already arranged her marriage with the son of a friend of the family, and coincidentally an enviable economic position. So did you know Ines and has ratified its opposition to relations with the “capitancito”, as he called the lover of his daughter.

One night walking by the Bishop Street, he saw pass a shadow dressed in man, it seemed extraordinarily Ines and decided to watch his steps. To be followed, the shade drew his sword and beat to duel with the military, who wounded was taken to a strange place, where black slaves attended it and, to his surprise, saw his side a man who resembled his Agnes, was the brother of his beloved!
Both vowed to help Ines and after careful plans managed out of the convent of Santa Clara for an hour, that was enough to make young people remind eternal love.
There same with the help of the brother agreed to escape to the Florida. After several days hidden among them forests that surrounded the city, them three managed to reach the coast, where is could buy a boat.
Anaemic them forces, with hunger and cold, the two lovers are embarked. The brother excited them fired at the shore.
To Middle Road, a terrible snowstorm made that the sea raging is swallow to them in love. Never they knew of them.

AMORES QUE NO SE OLVIDAN NUNCA. CONVENTO DE SANTA CLARA, CUBA.
Una agraciada joven cubana, llamada Inés, diariamente visitaba la iglesia de Jesús, María y José, donde la mirada de un joven capitán español le impactó en el corazón. Conversaban en la puerta del recinto religioso antes de despedirse en cada encuentro y casas de amigas cómplices fueron el refugio de aquel apasionado amor.
Sin ofrecer todos los detalles, les confesó a sus padres el amoroso secreto de su corazón, pero como era la costumbre de la época, el padre ya había concertado el matrimonio de ella con el hijo de un amigo de la familia, y casualmente de una envidiable posición económica. Así se lo hizo saber a Inés y le ratificó su oposición a las relaciones con el “capitancito”, como llamó al enamorado de su hija.
Ante la oposición de la familia de Inés, a sus puros sentimientos de amor, el capitán marchó a Europa, buscando nuevos aires, que le arrancaran de la mente el tórrido amor habanero.
Inés, por su parte, se negó a casarse con el hombre seleccionado por su padre, y su rebeldía la demostró tomando el camino de tantos amores frustrados, el ingreso en el Convento de Santa Clara, donde conoció a María de las Mercedes de la Cruz y Montalbán, la futura Condesa de Merlín, quien, antes de fugarse, le pidió a Inés que le escribiera y contara todas sus peripecias amorosas.
El oficial aun con el recuerdo y el amor de Inés en el corazón, fue designado nuevamente a La Habana, como capitán en uno de las fortalezas de la villa. Desde su llegada comenzó a buscar a su amada.
Una noche que caminaba por la calle Obispo, vio pasar una sombra vestida de hombre, que se le pareció extraordinariamente a Inés y decidió vigilar sus pasos. Al verse seguida, la sombra sacó su espada y se batió a duelo con el militar, quien herido fue llevado a un extraño lugar, donde negros esclavos lo atendieron y, para su sorpresa, vio a su lado al hombre que se le parecía a su Inés, ¡era el propio hermano de su amada!
Ambos juraron ayudar a Inés y tras cuidadosos planes lograron sacarla del Convento de Santa Clara por una hora, que bastó para que los jóvenes se reiteraran amores eternos.
Allí mismo con la ayuda del hermano acordaron escapar hacia La Florida. Luego de varios días escondidos entre los bosques que rodeaban la ciudad, los tres lograron alcanzar la costa, donde se pudo comprar una embarcación.
Loves never Forgotten.
Extenuadas las fuerzas, con hambre y frío, los dos enamorados se embarcaron. El hermano emocionado los despidió en la orilla.
A medio camino, una terrible tempestad hizo que el mar embravecido se tragara a los enamorados. Jamás se supo de ellos.
