PORTORRICAN TELEFONE COMPANY “CLARO” SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH CUBA.
Roaming service is available from Monday.
The Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba S.A. (ETECSA) signed an agreement of international roaming services for voice, text and data with the company Claro Puerto Rico, reported today in Havana of Cuban telephony State-owned monopoly.
He agreement, that governed starting from this Monday, will allow to them customers of services mobile of clear that travel to Cuba use their phones in the network of ETECSA, said a statement of that company.
Clear is a firm of telecommunications that offers global roaming in 179 countries, airlines and cruise lines around the world, adds the note.
The agreement with the Puerto Rican company joins others signed in recent months by ETECSA for the direct interconnection of voice calls with U.S. companies like IDT Domestic Telecom, AT & T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile USA, after the restoration of diplomatic relations between the Governments of Havana and Washington in July 2015.

TELEFÓNICA PUERTORRIQUEÑA “CLARO” FIRMA ACUERDO CON CUBA.
El servicio de itinerancia está disponible a partir de este lunes.
La Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba S.A. (ETECSA) firmó con la compañía Claro de Puerto Rico un acuerdo de roaming internacional de servicios de voz, texto y datos, informó hoy en La Habana el monopolio estatal de la telefonía cubana.
El acuerdo, que regirá a partir de este lunes, permitirá a los clientes de servicios móviles de Claro que viajan a Cuba utilizar sus teléfonos en la red de ETECSA, indicó un comunicado de esa empresa.
Claro es una firma de telecomunicaciones que ofrece servicio de roaming global en 179 países, aerolíneas y compañías de cruceros alrededor del mundo, agrega la nota.
El convenio con la compañía puertorriqueña se suma a otros suscritos en los últimos meses por ETECSA para la interconexión directa de llamadas de voz con empresas estadounidenses como IDT Domestic Telecom, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon y T-Mobile USA, tras el restablecimiento de las relaciones diplomáticas entre los Gobiernos de La Habana y Washington en julio de 2015.
