The reporter for the CBS, Jim DeFede, asked Trump specifically about whether would break diplomatic relations with Cuba in case of assuming command of the Executive. The Republican nominee was evasive throughout to give a direct answer.

“Cuba has to treat us fairly,” he argued, saying also that the regime of the island “has to deal with justice the Cubans”.

For Trump, “the treatment of President Obama signed is weak. We don’t get anything, the people of Cuba gets nothing”. The New York Tycoon said that “he would do whatever was necessary to achieve a good agreement” with Cuba.

At the insistence of the journalist, Trump explained that “it has to be a strong agreement that it would be nice to stop the Cuban people”. So overall, the aspirant to the White House “likes the idea of an agreement, but it has to be a real agreement”.
