A partir del próximo lunes, seis compañías estadounidenses comenzarán sus vuelos comerciales regulares desde Estados Unidos a La Habana, con lo que se reiniciará la ruta interrumpida hace más de medio siglo, anunciaron autoridades en la Isla citadas por el sitio oficial Cubadebate.
Al vuelo de American Airlines que llegará a la terminal tres del aeropuerto José Martí el próximo 28 de noviembre, se sumarán durante la semana Jetblue y United Airlines, desde Nueva York; Delta, desde Atlanta, Spirit, desde Los Ángeles, y Frontier, desde Miami, dijo Miguel Cabrera Álvarez, de la estatal Empresa Cubana de Aeropuertos y Servicios Aeronáuticos S.A. (ECASA), en conferencia de prensa en la sede del Ministerio del Transporte, en La Habana.
“El aeropuerto internacional José Martí, por donde arriban más del 50% de los pasajeros internacionales, recibirá por sus terminales dos y tres un total de ocho aerolíneas estadounidenses, desde diez ciudades estadounidenses”, añadió Cabrera. A las antes anunciadas, se incorporarán en enero Alaska Airlines y Sun Country.
Funcionarios informaron, además, que llegarán a la Isla en las próximas semanas las conexiones aéreas de Alitalia, Italia; Turkish Airlines; Eurowings, de Alemania; Aircaribes, de Francia, y la austríaca Austrian Airlines.
