APPOINTS DONALD TRUMP TO A CUBAN-AMERICAN IN HIS NATIONAL SECURITY TEAM.
The Cuban-American academic Yleem Poblete was named Member Thursday in the team’s transition from the President elect Donald Trump for the National Security Council.
Poblete, an academic expert on foreign policy and national security, worked for nearly two decades in the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of representatives of US and is Advisor to members of Congress. Poblete and her husband, Jason Poblete, are founders of The Poblete Analysis Group.
His most recent legislative work deal with topics such as the reduction of the threat of Iran, human rights and anti-terrorism. Last year, Poblete published the article “politics U.S.-Cuba: Myth vs.” Reality”in which severely criticized the process of with Cuba thaw driven by President Barack Obama.
Other two Cuban-Americans make up the team’s transition from Donald Trump: Mauricio Claver-Carone, executive director of the lobbying group proembargo US-Cuba Democracy PAC, was appointed to the Treasury Department transition team; and Carlos E. Diaz-Rosillo, Professor of Harvard University, was appointed Advisor to Executive authority.

La académica cubanoamericana Yleem Poblete fue nombrada este jueves miembro del equipo de transición del presidente electo Donald Trump para el Consejo de Seguridad Nacional.
Poblete, académica experta en política exterior y seguridad nacional, trabajó durante casi dos décadas en el Comité de Asuntos Exteriores de la Cámara de Representantes de EEUU y es asesora de miembros del Congreso. Poblete y su esposo, Jason Poblete, son fundadores del The Poblete Analysis Group.
Sus trabajos legislativos más recientes abordan temas como la reducción de la amenaza de Irán, los derechos humanos y anti terrorismo. El año pasado, Poblete publicó el artículo “La Política EEUU-Cuba: Mito vs. Realidad” en el que critica duramente el proceso de deshielo con Cuba impulsado por el presidente Barack Obama.
Otros dos cubanoamericanos integran el equipo de transición de Donald Trump: Mauricio Claver-Carone, director ejecutivo del grupo de cabildeo proembargo US-Cuba Democracy PAC, fue nombrado para el equipo de transición del Departamento del Tesoro; y Carlos E.
