CUBAN BABALAWOS PREDICT “THE LETTER OF THE YEAR 2017” (“La Letra del Año”).

Like every year, during the first days of January are unveiled the “letter of the year” of the priests of the yoruba religion, notable roots in Cuban popular culture. The advances of the document already had been given, but still is were unaware them recommendations that must follow is for 2017 and that marked the life of many in Cuba.
According to the predictions, the sign that Regent this year is Baba Egiobe, Ogbe Roso and Otura Aira. It governs Oggun with Yemaya as deity Companion.
Among the sayings of the sign are in Yoruba predictions: “A single King governs a people. No hat may be more famous than the Crown. Wisdom, understanding and thought, are the force that moves the Earth. I have it all and everything I need. It is a mistake not to learn from mistakes”, as reported by Diario de Cuba (DDC).
The Cuban babalawos recommend pay attention to corruption, avoid pride and encourage economic and socio cultural, changes among other actions to the year 2017.
1. The babalawos recommend organization in all aspects of life; Act with fairness and good conduct to avoid hot flashes; avoid the use of drugs and alcohol excess; wear white and respect their elders.
2. Likewise, “pay careful attention” to the possible proliferation of theft and the dilapidation of public treasuries; encourage the work habits and love of work, and insist on the Organization of work and the family, allowing to reach agreements and avoiding violence.
3. With regard to health, religious advised to beware of diseases in respiratory, digestive, cardiovascular system, lungs, eye, kidneys, spine and sexually transmitted diseases.
4. To families, they suggest unit and increase attention to the education of the children and the values of the human race.
5. On the other hand, they warn of weather events that involve losses, such as penetration of the sea, earthquakes, rain, floods, hurricanes, etc. And recommend protection in coastal areas avoiding contamination by wastes and wastes affecting the ecosystem and the health of persons.
In front of a hundred people Lázaro Cuesta babalawo said that “there is a fundamental way” to focus the analysis. LOS BABALAWOS CUBANOS PREDICEN “LA LETRA DEL AÑO” PARA EL 2017.

Como cada año, durante los primeros días de enero se da a conocer la “Letra del año” de los sacerdotes mayores de la religión yoruba, de notable arraigo en la cultura popular cubana. Los avances del documento ya habían sido dados, pero aún se desconocían las recomendaciones que deberán seguirse para 2017 y que marcarán la vida de muchos en Cuba.
Según las predicciones, el signo regente de este año es Baba Egiobe, con Ogbe Roso y Otura Aira. Gobierna Oggún con Yemayá como deidad acompañante.
Entre los refranes del signo están en las predicciones Yorubas: “Un solo rey gobierna un pueblo. Ningún sombrero puede ser más famoso que la corona. La sabiduría, la comprensión y el pensamiento, son la fuerza que mueve la Tierra. Todo lo tengo y todo me falta. Es un error no aprender de los errores cometidos”, según informa el Diario de Cuba.(DDC).
Los babalawos cubanos recomiendan prestar atención a la corrupción, evitar la soberbia e incentivar los cambios económicos y socioculturales, entre otras acciones para el año 2017.
1- Los babalawos recomiendan organización en todos los aspectos de la vida; actuar con justeza y buena conducta para evitar bochornos; evitar el consumo de estupefacientes y el exceso de bebidas alcohólicas; vestir de blanco y respetar a los mayores.
2- Asimismo, “prestar esmerada atención” a la posible proliferación del robo y la dilapidación de los erarios públicos; incentivar los hábitos laborales y el amor al trabajo, e insistir en la organización del trabajo y la familia, que permita alcanzar acuerdos evitando la violencia.
3- En cuanto a la salud, los religiosos aconsejan cuidarse de enfermedades en las vías respiratorias, en el aparato digestivo, sistema cardiovascular, los pulmones, la vista, los riñones, la columna vertebral y las enfermedades de transmisión sexual.
4- A las familias, les sugieren unidad e incrementar la atención a la educación de los niños y los valores del género humano.
5- Por otra parte, advierten sobre fenómenos climatológicos que conlleven pérdidas, como penetraciones del mar, sismos, lluvias, inundaciones, huracanes, etc. Y recomiendan la protección en áreas costeras evitando la contaminación por desechos y desperdicios que afectan el ecosistema y la salud de las personas.
Frente a un centenar de personas el babalawo Lázaro Cuesta dijo que “hay un camino fundamental” para centrar el análisis. Recordó que en este signo regente estaba “subdividida la tierra y el mar por una barrera de árboles que no permitía que los unos pudieran ver a los otros”, y explicó que gracias a las oraciones y al trabajo de Oggún “se tumbaron todas las matas que obstaculizaban que los del mar vieran la orilla y los de la orilla vieran el mar”, unas aseveraciones que algunos de los presentes interpretaron como una alusión a las relaciones de Cuba con Estados Unidos.
Consideró este camino como “la base fundamental” porque “abre la posibilidad de que se entiendan las partes y haya una apertura desde el punto de vista del comercio, de las relaciones”. Según su opinión “a través del comercio y las relaciones llegará la riqueza”.
Además señaló que para lograr todo esto primero tiene que llegar “el entendimiento a través de la palabra o el diálogo” porque para él “esa es la solución”.
Finalmente consideró que este “es un magnífico año” y que su signo regente anuncia en su oración profética “un desenvolvimiento favorable desde el punto de vista de la gestión económica”. Oggún “va a facilitar sus machetes para desmochar las plantas que impiden que los unos y los otros se comuniquen”. Aclaró que “el resultado y el éxito que esto pueda tener no está en las manos ni de Oggún ni de Yemaya”, sino en la “voluntad de hacer”.
El sacerdote explicó además que “hay que ser flexibles” porque “nadie puede estrechar la mano amiga con la mano cerrada” y “nadie puede exigir que se le escucha si él no tiene la posibilidad de escuchar”, aseveraciones que también algunos de los presentes interpretaron como una alusión a las relaciones de Cuba con Estados Unidos.
