UNITED STATES AIRLINE WILL FLIGHT DAILY TO CUBA.

The airline Alaska Airlines will land this Friday, January 5, on the island for the first time since it began “the thaw” of relations between Washington and Havana, Puget Sound Business Journal reported.

According to Alaska Airlines, this will be the first commercial flight from the West Coast to Cuba.

The airline will thus begin daily trips that will unite the Cuban capital with Los Angeles.

A Boeing 737-900 will take off from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Friday.

A delegation of 50 leading political, business, sports and cultural, including the Cuban is Ana Mari Cauce, President of the University of Washington will travel aboard.

“I’m very happy to play a small role in the connection of my native homeland with my homeland of choice,” said channel to Puget Sound Business Journal.

Joe Sprague, senior Vice President of external relations for Alaska Airlines, said that “this is an exciting way to celebrate the anniversary the company 85”, with “a historic flight like this”.

“As the fifth largest United States carrier, it’s exciting for us to be part of major events as this historic opening of Cuba,” said the Director of Alaska Airlines.

“Although I understand fully why the United States broke relations with Cuba, I firmly believe that the change comes from participation. History has shown us”, he added.

The 50-person delegation will join more than 100 commercial passengers, many of whom have not returned to Cuba for decades.

Alaska Air Group obtained the approval of the United States Department of transportation in August to start providing services to the island.

The airline will begin his travels this Thursday, a recently though several airlines as Silver Airways have had to reduce their travel to Cuba in more than 50%.

VIAJARÁ A CUBA DIARIAMENTE AEROLINEA NORTEAMERICANA.

La compañía aérea Alaska Airlines aterrizará este viernes 5 de enero en la Isla por primera vez desde que se iniciara “el deshielo” de las relaciones entre Washington y La Habana, informó Puget Sound Business Journal.

Según Alaska Airlines, este será el primer vuelo comercial de la costa oeste a Cuba.

La aerolínea comenzará así sus viajes de frecuencia diaria que unirán la capital cubana con Los Ángeles.

Un Boeing 737-900 despegará desde el Aeropuerto Internacional Seattle-Tacoma este viernes.

A bordo viajará una delegación de 50 líderes políticos, empresariales, deportivos y culturales, entre los que se encuentra la cubana Ana Mari Cauce, presidenta de la Universidad de Washington.

“Estoy muy contenta de desempeñar un pequeño papel en la conexión de mi patria natal con mi patria de elección”, explicó Cauce a Puget Sound Business Journal.

Joe Sprague, vicepresidente senior de relaciones exteriores de Alaska Airlines, dijo que “esta es una manera emocionante de celebrar el aniversario 85 de la compañía”, con “un vuelo histórico como este”.

“Como la quinta aerolínea más grande de Estados Unidos, es emocionante para nosotros ser parte de grandes eventos como esta apertura histórica de Cuba”, afirmó el directivo de Alaska Airlines.

“Aunque entiendo completamente por qué los Estados Unidos rompieron las relaciones con Cuba, creo firmemente que el cambio proviene de la participación. La historia nos lo ha demostrado”, añadió.

La delegación de 50 personas se unirá a más de 100 pasajeros comerciales, muchos de los cuales no han regresado a Cuba por décadas.

Alaska Air Group obtuvo la aprobación del Departamento de Transporte de Estados Unidos en agosto para comenzar a prestar servicios a la Isla.

La aerolínea comenzará sus viajes este jueves, a pesar de que recientemente varias aerolíneas como Silver Airways hayan tenido que reducir sus viajes a Cuba en más de un 50%.
