Ilza Rosario is a Cuban-Russian singer-songwriter and actress. She was born in La Habana, Cuba on January 11, 1985 as Ilza Rosario Ponko. Her family relocated to Moscow, Russia, when she was 3 years old. At the age of 7, Ilza started to pursue music and found herself fascinated by the arts.
At age 12 she returned to her native Cuba, where she played a few small theatre roles and continued to immerse herself in music at the conservatory of Amadeo Roldan.
Ilza then moved to the United States to pursue her artistic career. Having signed with Emilio Estefan and Liverpool Music, she was able to garner recognition in Spain where she received a ‘40 Principales’ Best New Artist Award Nomination and achieved a Top 20 Single with “La Sonrisa De La Luna”.
In 2010 after putting a hold on her music, Ilza decided to concentrate on acting and moved to Colombia where she quickly landed several roles in popular Colombian television series as well as the role of “Beatriz” in USA Network’s TV film “Burn Notice”. Her performance was so well received that her character was brought back for the television series of the franchise.
In 2012, Ilza moved to Los Angeles where she received a full scholarship to the prestigious Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theater. Soon after, she landed a role in her first major feature film, “Hands of Stone”, a portrait of Panamanian fighter Roberto Duran, alongside an all-star cast including Robert De Niro. Edgar Ramirez, Usher and Ruben Blades. Rosario plays the mother of the famed international boxing star.
In 2014, she was casted for a principle role alongside Kevin Bacon in “The Darkness”, a thriller where she plays a medium brought in to confront supernatural spirits.
A versatile actress, fluent in Spanish, English and Russian, Ilza has played a guerrilla rebel, high-class escort, a psychic and a poverty stricken mother of an international boxing champion. She is currently working on her EP and the release of 3 movies.

En 2014, fue fundada para un papel principal junto a Kevin Bacon en “The Darkness”, un thriller donde ella toca un medio traído para enfrentar espíritus sobrenaturales.
Una actriz versátil, fluida en español, inglés y ruso, Ilza ha actuado como una rebelde guerrillera, una escolta de clase alta, una madre psíquica y una pobre madre de un campeón internacional de boxeo. Actualmente está trabajando en su EP y tres películas.
