CUBANS IN HOLLYWOOD: ANA DE ARMAS RETURNS IN NEW FILM “THREE SECONDS”. VIDEO.
Cuban actress Ana de Armas has just been hired this week to participate in prison thriller ‘Three Seconds’, directed by Italian Andrea Di Stefano and starring Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike, Common and Clive Owen, according to the official website of the actress.
In the film, the Cuban will play the character of Sofia, wife of Pete Hoffman (the protagonist), and a small businesswoman who has a grocery store.
Hoffman is a convicted ex-soldier of special operations who, to free himself from prison and reunite with his family, works as an FBI spy, infiltrating the Polish mafia in New York drug trafficking, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
Three Seconds is the adaptation of a Nordic bestseller written by Anders Roslund and Börge Hellström, written by Matt Cook.
The Cuban actress came to know with only 18 years in Spain thanks to her participation in El Internado, very popular among viewers.
In 2013, once separated from her husband, Marc Clotet, decided to experiment in Hollywood. In just four years, De Armas has shared a scene with great movie stars like Robert de Niro, Jared Leto, Keanu Reeves and Scott Eastwood.

“You always dream and hope to be among the best, but you have the doubt of whether it will come true. Having come this far is a dream come true,” she said in a recent interview.
