Remedios also known as San Juan de los Remedios, is a city located 4.8 km from the northern coast of Cuba, in the center of the island. They say that when Dr. Jorrín received the sick he put into practice various methods for healing: the same diagnosed an orthopedic, psychiatric or urinary ailment that offered spiritual consultations. Such routines caused comment on his magical powers and witchcraft practices. When Manuel Delgado Jorrín died, he was quietly kept at home, by his daughter and some relatives of the family. However, the legend persecuted him and they say that his body disappeared from the cemetery after being buried.

The truth is that, even today, many in Remedios comment on the strange noises that are felt at night near the gloomy and silent house where Dr. Jorrín lived. It seems that his spirit is still there. That’s where the legend ends. But Remedios still remember to Dr. Jorrin and the scarehouse where he lived.
