The Cuban singer Iliana Sánchez Ballar triumphed in the television talent show La Voz Rusia, thanks to her masterful interpretation of I will survive (sobreviviré, in Spanish) song that was popularized worldwide by the American Gloria Gaynor in 1978.
Known in the artistic world as Lya, the Holguinera versioned the song to salsa music and before the end of the first minute, she turned one of the four audition coaches from her seat.

La joven es graduada de canto lírico en el Instituto Superior de Arte de Holguín. En entrevistas ha reconocido que extraña mucho a sus padres y el clima caluroso de la Isla.
