RUSIA REGRESA AL RESCATE DE CUBA ANTE LA SITUACIÓN ECONÓMICA DE LA ISLA.

El Gobierno de Rusia ayudará a Cuba a restaurar su flota aérea, compuesta por varias aeronaves rusas, según explicó el viceprimer ministro ruso Yuri Borísov, quien se reunió el viernes con el vicepresidente del Consejo de Ministros de Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas.
“Hemos encontrado una solución concreta para restaurar la flota de las aerolíneas cubanas. Hemos evaluado la aeronavegabilidad de la flota, que incluye los aviones (rusos) Iliushin Il-96, Túpolev Tu-204 y Antónov An-158”, aseguró en declaraciones recogidas por EFE en el marco de la XVII sesión de la Comisión Intergubernamental que se celebró en Moscú.
Desde Moscú se mostraron confiados en que la flota se restaure este 2019. De hecho ambos gobiernos ya han establecido el periodo de reparación y la cantidad de piezas de repuesto necesarias.
La cooperación entre ambos países también abarcará en los próximos años la modernización de la red ferroviaria y energética.
“Hemos avanzado mucho en un proyecto para actualizar la red ferroviaria de Cuba”, dijo Borísov. Este proyecto se pondrá en marcha a lo largo de siete años y se hará en dos fases.
Sin embargo, el viceprimer ministro ruso se mostró cauto a la hora de concretar fechas. “Pienso que comenzaremos a implementarlo en un futuro cercano”, añadió.
Borísov detalló que esta inversión asciende a unos 2.000 millones de euros
El pasado 4 de enero llegaron a territorio cubano siete locomotoras y el primer ferrobús ruso. Este lote formaba parte de las inversiones comprometidas con el gobierno de Vladimir Putin para revitalizar el sector ferroviario en la Isla.
Rusia también prestará ayuda para modernizar la infraestructura energética de la Isla. “Esto está vinculado, entre otros factores, a la necesidad de cubrirse ante los riesgos que representan la situación en Venezuela”, explicó el dirigente ruso.

The Russian government will help Cuba to restore its air fleet, made up of several Russian aircraft, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov, who met Friday with the vice president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas.
“We have found a concrete solution to restore the fleet of Cuban airlines, and we have assessed the airworthiness of the fleet, which includes the (Russian) Iliushin Il-96, Tupolev Tu-204 and Antónov An-158 aircraft,” he said in a statement. by EFE in the framework of the XVII session of the Intergovernmental Commission that was held in Moscow.
From Moscow were confident that the fleet is restored this 2019. In fact both governments have already established the repair period and the amount of spare parts needed.
The cooperation between the two countries will also cover the modernization of the railway and energy network in the coming years.
“We have come a long way in a project to upgrade the railway network in Cuba,” Borisov said. This project will be launched over seven years and will be carried out in two phases.
However, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister was cautious when specifying dates. “I think we will begin to implement it in the near future,” he added.

On January 4, seven locomotives and the first Russian ferrobús arrived on Cuban territory. This lot was part of the investments committed to the government of Vladimir Putin to revitalize the railway sector on the island.
