Luis Fernando Allende Arenas nació el 10 de noviembre de 1952, es un cantante, actor, pintor, productor de cine y director de cine mexicano. Allende nació en México. Su padre es Mexicano y su madre es Cubana.

A fines de la década de 1960, Allende se había aventurado en las telenovelas en español y en las telenovelas (telenovelas producidas ampliamente en la década de 1970 en muchos países de América Latina). Su apariencia de ídolo matiné ayudó a Allende a convertirse en un ídolo adolescente en toda América Latina.

Carrera
A principios de la década de 1980, Allende se mudó a Hollywood y tuvo un éxito respetable en la “capital cinematográfica del mundo”, logrando papeles principales en importantes producciones. Durante la temporada de televisión 1981–1982, Allende tuvo un papel recurrente en la serie de televisión en horario estelar ‘Flamingo Road’ como Julio Sánchez. Allende también se convirtió en el anfitrión de la versión en español del concurso de canto de televisión ‘Star Search’ (Buscando Estrellas).

Ha dirigido y producido sus propias películas y miniserie. Fue un juez constante del popular reality show puertorriqueño ‘Objetivo Fama’ y presentó su propio programa televisivo de variedades llamado ‘Entre Amigos’ (Among Friends). Es dueño de El Dorado Studios, una instalación de televisión y cine en Dorado, Puerto Rico. Ha estado trabajando en una comedia temática multicultural hecha en Puerto Rico llamada “Qué familia más normal” en TuTv, con actores de México y Puerto Rico.

En diciembre de 2007, fue el anfitrión de Miss Mundo 2007 en Sanya, China, con Angela Chow. Repitió como anfitrión en Miss Mundo 2017 y Miss Mundo 2018.

Vida personal
Allende conoció a su actual esposa, María Mediavilla, de Puerto Rico durante los años ochenta. La pareja se mudó a Aspen, Colorado, y vivió allí durante 15 años. Tienen dos hijos, Elán y Adán.

Allende y su esposa tenían una amistad cercana con el Príncipe Michael de Kent. Fueron invitados de honor en la celebración del 100 aniversario del Victoria and Albert Museum celebrado en Londres. También fueron invitados a viajar con los Kents a la apertura de la gala en el Museo de Arte de Houston, donde la colección del Museo Victoria y Albert comenzó su gira mundial.

En 2001, Allende y su esposa se mudaron a Puerto Rico, donde continuó su carrera como actor y cantante, e inició una nueva carrera en pintura.

Luis Fernando Allende Arenas was born November 10, 1952, is a Mexican singer, actor, painter, film producer, and film director.
Allende was born in Mexico. His father is a Mexican, and his mother is from Cuba. Allende’s grandfather on his father’s side was Puerto Rican. Both grandparents on his mother side are from Spain.

By the late 1960s, Allende had ventured into Spanish-language soap operas as well as photo soap operas (magazine soap operas widely produced during the 1970s in many Latin American countries). His matinee idol looks helped Allende become a teen idol across Latin America.

Career
During the early 1980s, Allende moved to Hollywood and had respectable success in the “movie capital of the world” landing major roles in important productions. During the 1981–1982 television season, Allende had a recurring role on the prime time TV series ‘Flamingo Road’ as Julio Sánchez. Allende also became the host of the Spanish version of the television singing contest ‘Star Search’ (Buscando Estrellas).

He has directed and produced his own movies and mini-series. He was a steady judge of the popular Puerto Rican reality show ‘Objetivo Fama’ and hosted his own television variety show called: ‘Entre Amigos’ (Among Friends). He owns El Dorado Studios, a TV and motion picture facility in Dorado, Puerto Rico. He has been working on a multicultural theme sitcom made in Puerto Rico called “Qué familia más normal” on TuTv, with actors from Mexico and Puerto Rico.

In December 2007, he was the host for Miss World 2007 in Sanya, China, with Angela Chow. He repeated as host in Miss World 2017 and Miss World 2018.

Personal life
Allende met his current wife, María Mediavilla, from Puerto Rico during the 1980s. The couple moved to Aspen, Colorado, and lived there for 15 years. They have two sons, Elán and Adán.

Allende and his wife had a close friendship with Prince Michael of Kent. They were guests of honor at the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Victoria and Albert Museum held in London. They also were invited to travel with the Kents to the gala opening in the Houston Museum of Art where the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum started its world tour.

In 2001, Allende and his wife moved to Puerto Rico, where he has continued his career as an actor and singer, and initiated a new career in painting.
