Aylín Mujica Ricard nace en la Habana, Cuba un 24 de Noviembre de 1974 y es una destacada modelo actriz y bailarina.
Aylín Mújica, comenzó su carrera artística a la edad de 8 años. Estudió danza folklórica, ballet clásico, coreografía y música en la Escuela Nacional de Ballet. Desde muy joven demostró un gran talento, dedicación y disciplina en las artes. A la edad de quince años, ingresó en el Instituto Superior de Arte para estudiar arte dramático. Y a los 18 años, estudió en la escuela internacional de cine en la Habana, participando luego en dos películas, varias obras de teatro y festivales culturales.
Viajó a México en 1992, donde trabajó como modelo en comerciales para la televisión y video clips musicales de cantantes como: Willy Chirino, Albita Rodríguez, Marcelo Cezán y Gerardo, entre otros.
En el año 1994 obtuvo el premio «Revelación Latina del Año», otorgado por la asociación de cronistas del espectáculo de Nueva York (A.C.E.) y «El Sol de Oro» como revelación actriz juvenil, otorgado por la asociación de críticos de teatro de México.
Después de este gran éxito, continuó dándose a conocer como actriz, durante su primer co-protagónico en la telenovela «Canción de Amor», al lado de Lorena Rojas, Eduardo Capetillo y Joaquín Cordero. También participó en varios programas de televisión como artista exclusiva de «Televisa» y en obras de teatro como «La Cenicienta» y «The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas» obra de Broadway, presentada en México.
A fines del año 1997, Aylín se integra a la empresa «TV Azteca», protagonizando la también exitosa telenovela «Señora», con el papel estelar de Isabel Fernández, junto a los actores: Julieta Egurrola, Fernando Ciangherotti y Héctor Bonilla siendo premiada nuevamente por la asociación de cronistas del espectáculo de Nueva York (A.C.E.), como mejor actriz 1998 y por la revista TV y novelas Colombia como mejor actriz extranjera.
En 1998, debido a sus logros y a su ya importante trayectoria artística, fue honrada con ser la primera actriz cubana en recibir su estrella en el prestigioso paseo de las luminarias de la ciudad de México.
Su regreso a las telenovelas en el 2002 lo marcó con la telenovela «Agua y Aceite» compartiendo créditos con Christian Bach, Héctor Bonilla y Humberto Zurita en el papel de Déborah, participó como protagonista en las series de televisión de TV Azteca: «Vivir Así» y «Mi mejor amigo» con el actor Juan Manuel Bernal.
Es en el 2004 después del tremendo éxito con el papel de Lorena Madero en la telenovela «La Heredera» con la cual se coloca como primera actriz, cumple su sueño y presenta su primer disco llamado «Aylín» del cual se deriva el exitoso tema «Chiqui». Un álbum de 12 temas en inglés y en español totalmente pop latino dirigido a la mujer latina.
En el 2008, Aylín se desempeñó como conductora principal de los Premios Billboard de la Música Latina junto con Alan Tacher y participa como Lorena, una mujer de la vida alegre en la producción de Telemundo «Sin senos no hay paraíso».
La actriz posó desnuda en la revista española Interviú y apareció en una sesión de fotos en la revista H para Hombres. En 2010 salió de ella fotos de desnudos en las que ya estaba embarazada de su hija Violeta.
En 2006, la actriz comenzó a trabajar para Telemundo. Le ofrecieron el papel del villano en Pecados ajenos, pero se negó y fue reemplazada por Catherine Siachoque. Trabajó en la telenovela “Aurora” de Telemundo en 2010.
En 2012, interpretó a la antagonista principal en Corazón valiente de Telemundo, interpretando a Fernanda del Castillo o Victoria cuando fingió su muerte.
En 2014 interpretó al antagonista de Gabriel Porras en la telenovela Los miserables, cuyos personajes principales fueron Aracely Arambula y Erik Hayser.
En diciembre de 1999, Aylín contrajo segundas nupcias con el productor mexicano de cine y televisión Alejandro Gaviria con quien tiene un hijo, Alejandro, de seis años de edad. Su hijo Mauro, de trece años, fruto de su primer matrimonio, vive con ellos. On September 24, 2010, Mújica married actor Gabriel Valenzuela with whom she has a daughter, Violeta, born on April 6, 2010. During the summer of 2012 Aylin and Gabriel announced their divorce.
Actualmente Ailyn Mujica reside en las afueras de la ciudad de México, en una casa acogedora, con mucha vegetación y una vista esplendida de esa ciudad la cual disfruta con sus perros y caballos.

Aylín Mujica Ricard was born in Havana, Cuba on November 24, 1974, and is an outstanding model, actress, and dancer.
Aylín Mújica began his artistic career at the age of 8 years. She studied folk dance, classical ballet, choreography and music at the National Ballet School.
