1- Ser hijo de mamá y papá: Se dice de hijos de jefes, funcionarios y personas públicas, porque los beneficios de que gozan son heredados. “¿Y ese qué hace en la televisión con lo mal que lo hace?, di tú, seguro es hijo de mamá y papá”.

2- Ser una vaca sagrada: Se dice de las personalidades reconocidas públicamente que alcanzan un status que les otorga privilegios justificados por su nombre. “Ya no da mucho de sí, pero no importa, ahí está en primera fila, con el resto de las vacas sagradas”.

3- Quitarse la chancleta: Hacer uso de lo más vulgar para hacerle frente al oponente. “¡Ay, si yo me quito la chancleta, él va a saber lo que Cuba lleva dentro!”.

4- Caerse para arriba: Misteriosa suerte que corren ciertos jefes y funcionarios al ser ascendidos a mejores puestos como sanción pública ante su reconocido mal trabajo. “Ah, ¿porque con todo ahora subió a gerente general? ¡Verdad que aquí la gente se cae pa´arriba!”

5- Ser un cara dura: Cuando se le reconoce a alguien el hacer o decir cosas de manera desfachatada, sin medir consecuencias y mucho menos sentir vergüenza. ¡Pero si te acabo de ver vendiendo tu merienda en la esquina!, ¿cómo puedes ser tan cara dura de venir a pedirme otra?

6- Pasar la mano: Cuando reaccionamos ante algo que creemos mal hecho. “Tú sabes que lo que digo es verdad, ¡ya deja de pasarme la mano que no me pienso callar! Cuando deciden no regañarnos más por algo que hicimos mal. “El pobre, me dio tanta lástima que al final terminé pasándole la mano”.

7- Echar pa´ alante: Seguir camino a pesar de las dificultades. “Imagínate, qué voy a hacer, hay que echar pa´ alante”. Denunciar algo que ha hecho alguno. “Nunca pensé que tú, precisamente tú, me fueras a echar pa´ alante”.

8- Caer en eso: Hacer algo que se sale de nuestras normas morales. “No lo voy a echar pa´ alante, yo no caigo en eso”. “Déjala que grite, no te rebajes a su nivel, no caigas en eso”.

9- Meter la cuchareta: Entrometerse en algún asunto o conversación. “Esa vecina chismosa siempre está en lo mismo, ¡en todo mete la cuchareta!”.

10- Clavar ´el paquete de café´ (se puede clavar la propina, el pomo de aceite, una botella de ron): Cuando escondemos algo valioso, que en principio no es nuestro, solo para uso propio: “¿Qué, celebramos?, ¡en la actividad de ayer clavé una Havana Club etiqueta azul!”
