Rolando Brito Rodriguez nacio en Camaguey, Cuba un 15 de Mayo de 1957. Es un actor y Productor en el Cine y la Television nacional e internacional. Es padre de la también actriz Livia Brito, junto a la bailarina Gertrudis Pestana.

Comienza a estudiar actuación en 1978 en la Escuela Nacional de Arte Dramático de La Habana donde se gradúa en 1983.

Ese mismo año inicia su Carrera como actor en la TV. A partir de ese momento su nombre ha sido constante en la pantalla de televisión, el cine, el teatro y la radio cubanas. Ha realizado además doblajes para el cine y la televisión.

Sus actuaciones en novelas y seriales: Algo más que soñar, La semilla escondida, Hermanos, De tu sueño a mi sueño y Pasión y Prejuicio, entre otras, han sido muy elogiadas por el público y la crítica.

Cuenta con varios premios de actuación otorgados por la UNEAC (Unión Nacional de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba), así como por la prensa especializada.

Obtuvo un Premio Especial en 1998 en reconocimiento a su trayectoria artística. Posee la distinción por la Cultura Nacional que otorga el Ministerio de Cultura a aquellos intelectuales y artistas que con su obra han contribuido a realzar el patrimonio cultural cubano.

Ha trabajado en un número significativo de telenovelas, varias de ellas con personajes protagónicos y en otras con personajes estelares. Ha sido protagonista en otra gran cantidad filmes, contando entre ellos con papeles protagónicos, así como en teatro.

Actualmente radica en México.

Rolando Brito Rodriguez was born in Camaguey, Cuba on May 15, 1957. He is an actor and producer in national and international Cinema and Television. He is the father of the actress Livia Brito, along with the dancer Gertrudis Pestana.

He began studying acting in 1978 at the National School of Dramatic Art in Havana where he graduated in 1983.

That same year he began his career as an actor on TV. As of that moment, his name has been constant on the television screen, the cinema, the theater, and the Cuban radio. He has also done dubbing for film and television.

His performances in novels and serials: Something more to dream, The hidden seed, Brothers, From your dream to my dream and Passion and Prejudice, among others, have been highly praised by the public and critics.

It has several acting awards granted by the UNEAC (National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba), as well as by the specialized press.

He won a Special Prize in 1998 in recognition of his artistic career. It has the distinction for the National Culture granted by the Ministry of Culture to those intellectuals and artists whose work has contributed to enhance the Cuban cultural heritage.

He has worked in a significant number of telenovelas, several of them with leading characters and in others with star characters. He has starred in many other films, counting among them with leading roles, as well as in the theater.

Currently residing in Mexico.
