El choteo cubano busca reírse de lo establecido usando expresiones satíricas que empoderan a quien habla despectivamente. Puede llegar a causar daño si sobrepasa el límite de lo permisible.

Todo queda en palabras y malas caras, pero a veces la gente se pasa de rosca. Me alarma pensar que hemos alcanzado ese punto en algunos barrios habaneros. Sin embargo, también reconozco que es importante saber usar ciertas palabras oportunamente y reírte de la vida.

La combinación ganadora que solo se dice en Cuba es: “come mierda”. Donde usted diga eso, no habrá duda de que ha llegado un cubano. Una más fría, pero igual de dura es “cabeza de puntilla”. Se puede sustituir por las cabezas de otros elementos. Resulta ideal para designar por igual a un tonto, un adolescente o un jefe jodedor.

Luego vienen las combinaciones que aluden a olores entre las que destacan: “peste a pata”, “peste a culo” y otras pestes que no vale la pena mencionar porque seguro alguien lo dice en los comentarios.

Otra palabra altamente despectiva, aunque no es exclusiva de Cuba, es “chivatón”. Se refiere a quien delata. Se usa en muchos países de Hispanoamérica con diferentes variantes.

“Guaricandilla”, otro término muy cubano. Pocas veces se dirige a hombres pues se asocia a la prostitución femenina, o a mujeres de actitud vulgar y excesivamente provocativa. Eres un “sanaco”. Esta palabra es sinónimo de tonto que en Cuba se sustituye por “mentecato”, “mamerto”, “mongólico”, “subnormal”. Cinco términos para describir a alguien de escaso intelecto o habilidades.

Los tacaños no se escapan, para describirlos la palabra más común es “arrastrado”. Sin embargo, vale la pena destacar que, como “muerto de hambre”, también se usa para quienes no tienen un kilo en el bolsillo.

Además, tenemos en la Isla “huevones” y “papayuas”, gente a la que no se le da muy bien trabajar. Incluso hay “gordos mantecas” y “flacas descuajeringadas” porque no todo el mundo puede ser igual físicamente.
