LOS CUBANOS SOLO PODRAN SACAR DOLARES DE SUS CUENTAS BANCARIAS SI EL BANCO TIENE FONDOS.
Los cubanos solo podrán hacer extracciones de efectivo de las cuentas en divisas internacionales, vinculadas a las tarjetas magnéticas que el gobierno decidió como única forma de hacer pagos en las tiendas en dólares que abrió hace algunos meses, solamente si el banco al que acuda tiene fondos en divisas. Así lo informó el Banco Central de Cuba (BCC), de acuerdo a una nota en el sitio oficialista CubaDebate.
“No es posible para los bancos prestablecer una fecha exacta en la que puedan ser entregados los USD solicitados. Debido a que no es una moneda emitida por el Banco Central de Cuba, su existencia física en las sucursales bancarias puede variar y, por tanto, la entrega se realiza de acuerdo a la disponibilidad existente”, reza la nota.
El texto de Cubadebate, a modo de preguntas y respuestas, explica a los cubanos el proceso de que deben seguir y todo lo que deben saber aquellos que tienen cuentas en USD en la Isla.

Al respecto, las quejas vienen dadas porque muchos cubanos guardaron sus dólares americanos en los bancos del régimen, para poder después hacer las transacciones que se exigían en las tiendas en divisas, sin embargo, a la hora de extraer su efectivo, se les comunicaba que incluso debían “anotarse en un listado para extraer”.
Cuando el régimen castrista decidió abrir las mencionadas tiendas hace algunos meses, explicó a la población que todo aquel necesitara extraer en efectivo su dinero lo podría hacer sin dificultad, sin embargo, no sucede así.
A esto se suma la falta de efectivo y de moneda convertible en las Casas de Cambio en la Isla (CADECA), pues, según Cubadebate, “la disponibilidad de billetes en USD y otras monedas extranjeras depende de los cambios que efectúen las personas tenedoras de los mismos en las sucursales bancarias y oficinas de CADECA. Esas monedas no se emiten en Cuba, por lo que su disponibilidad depende de los cambios que realicen sus tenedores en las oficinas de los bancos y de CADECA”.
