Laritza Bacallao, una de las más destacadas cantantes de la música popular y contemporánea de Cuba. En sus conciertos merece ovaciones del público por su bien timbrada voz y su acertada interpretación, con un exelente repertorio conformado mayormente por música popular bailable ha escalado hasta los primeros planos de popularidad dentro y fuera de Cuba de la mano de compositores como Osmani Espinosa, Sheena, Germán Nogueira entre otros.

Laritza Bacallao nació el 7 de julio de l987, en La Habana. Comenzó su vida artística a los cinco años de edad, cuando subió por primera vez al escenario para cantar “La Sirenita”, tema de una película de Disney.

Egresó de la escuela de música “Manuel Saumel”, como graduada de nivel elemental en Dirección Coral; y luego de la “Guillermo Tomás”, donde se formó como pianista acompañante.

Aunque apenas rebasa la treintena de edad, Laritza Bacallao ya exhibe una trayectoria artística de más de dos décadas, premios y éxitos musicales muy radiados, se inició en este arte que le viene por herencia familiar de su padre y abuelo, dos de los más grandes cantantes de la legendaria Orquesta Aragón. La música le viene por tradición familiar: es hija de Ernesto Bacallao y nieta de Felo Bacallao, cantantes de la emblemática Orquesta Aragón.

En su trayectoria como vocalista, la joven se ha presentado en disímiles eventos en Cuba, se distingue por la participación en varias ediciones del Festival Boleros de Oro. Durante años ha intervenido también en los homenajes al insigne cantante cubano Benny Moré.

Con solo 10 años realizó su primera gira internacional, para presentar en Japón el espectáculo “Cuba Tropical”.

Desde hace algunos años forma parte del prestigioso catálogo de PMM y la compañía iEvents para potenciar su carrera a nivel internacional. Es así en 2015 y 2016 presentó en Estados Unidos su disco, Solo se vive una vez, con el sello Planet Records y en noviembre del propio año realizó giras por Europa, México y Trinidad Tobago.

Ha trabajado diferentes formatos musicales y con músicos como Osmani García, Paulo FG, entre otros. En sus conciertos merece ovaciones del público por su bien timbrada voz y la acertada interpretación. Antes de comenzar sus presentaciones, siempre trata de estar tranquila.

Ha obtenido varios premios en concursos de cantos desde que era niña. Mereció el premio de la popularidad del programa televisivo cubano “Entre tú y yo”, en 2012 y 2013. También ganó el Premio Lucas 2014 en la categoría de Mejor Video Merengue Electrónico con la canción “Que suenen los tambores”. En 2015 fue nominada a los Premios Juventud que otorga la Televisión de Estados Unidos en la categoría Revelación Juvenil.

En septiembre de 2016 celebró sus 20 años de vida artística en un gran concierto en el Teatro Karl Marx de La Habana, en el cual tuvo como invitados a la compañía danzaría Free Dance, la compañía PMM (Por un mundo mejor) y a los cantantes Cándido Fabré y JG. Actualmente Laritza Bacallao prosigue la promoción de su disco Solo se vive una vez en escenarios de todo el mundo.

Por el momento, la popular cantante celebra su nuevo estreno en colaboración musical con Jorge Jr. y Los 4, titulado “Como tu mujer”, el cual a pocos días de lanzado en las plataformas digitales ya supera las sesenta mil vistas en YouTube.

She graduated from the “Manuel Saumel” music school, as an elementary level graduate in Choral Direction; and after the “Guillermo Tomás”, where she trained as an accompanying pianist.

Although barely over thirty years old, Laritza Bacallao already exhibits an artistic career of more than two decades, prizes and very successful musical successes, she began in this art that comes from her father and grandfather’s family heritage, two of the greatest singers of the legendary Aragón Orchestra. Music comes from family tradition: she is the daughter of Ernesto Bacallao and granddaughter of Felo Bacallao, singers of the emblematic Aragón Orchestra.
