Juliana Magaly Carlés Pacheco mas conocida por su nombre artistico de Maggie Carlés nace el 17 de agosto de 1950 en La Habana, Cuba. Desde muy pequeña tuvo una gran inclinación por la música; estudió teoría, solfeo y canto con Zenaida Romeu y Mariana de Gonitch. Perteneció al cuarteto ‘Los Orates’.

En 1967 comienza su vida artística como solista presentándose en el programa de televisión Música y Estrellas y en 1976 integra con el cantante Luis Nodal un dúo que gozó de gran aceptación, con quien protagonizó el musical 50 años de amor y en el que ella sobresalió por el manejo de su voz en el registro agudo y el alto nivel de improvisación. El dúo nutrió su repertorio con canciones cubanas e internacionales con elementos de la música pop; grabó discos y realizó presentaciones en la radio y la televisión cubanas, salas teatrales y concursos como el “Adolfo Guzmán”. Fueron invitados a participar en el Festival de Dresde en 1976 y a visitar Angola en 1978.

En su exitosa carrera, tiene grabados más de 17 discos de larga duración, de ellos 6 en los E.U. Ha estado en cuatro ocasiones entre los tent-ops Latinos de la Billboard , su C.D. Amor siempre tú, grabado en Miami, con la versión al español del tema del film The Body Guard ocupó durante más de 3 semanas el 2do lugar en la revista Billboard, en los Hot Latins y primeros lugares de todas las emisoras latinas de los E.U., América del Sur, y España.

Maggie Carlés ha obtenido más de 17 premios de Interpretación en países de Europa como España, Rusia, Polonia, Alemania, Yugoslavia, Francia, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Perú y en ciudades como Washington, Los Ángeles, New Orleans y otras. Maggie Carlés reside en E.U. desde 1993.

Ella interpreta canciones en 9 idiomas y sus últimas presentaciones en Miami, en el Teatro Jackie Gleason con cuatro conciertos (93-95-97-02) han resultado sold out.

En mayo del 2002, actuó en el Town hall de Broadway, fue todo un éxito. El prestigioso productor y compositor Bebu Silvetti, produjo su disco: Maggie Carlés, Canto, amo, sueño, grabado con más de 100 músicos, incluida la Orquesta Sinfónica de Los Ángeles.
