Ana de Armas, una de las nuevas revelaciones del cine en Hollywood, nació en Camagüey, Cuba, el 30 de abril de 1988. A los 14 años comenzó sus estudios en la Escuela Nacional de Teatro de La Habana, donde se graduó después de 4 años. A los 16 años realizó su primera película, Virgin Rose (2006), dirigida por Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón.
En una de sus últimas producciones cinematográficas “Sergio”, Ana es uno de los personajes más destacados, Carolina, donde destaca sus dotes artisticas.
Sergio es una próxima película dramática biográfica estadounidense sobre el diplomático de las Naciones Unidas Sérgio Vieira de Mello. La película está dirigida por Greg Barker, a partir de un guión de Craig Borten. Está protagonizada por Wagner Moura, Ana de Armas, Garret Dillahunt, Brían F.
