AEREOLINEA CANADIENSE REANUDARA SUS VUELOS A CUBA EN JUNIO
Aunque Cuba mantiene sus fronteras cerradas y sin fecha de apertura prevista, Air Canada ya programa vuelos a la Isla para junio. Así lo informó la pasada semana la aerolínea, que retomará varias operaciones a zonas muy turísticas del Caribe, entre ellas Varadero, que tendrá un vuelo por semana desde Monreal a partir del 7 de junio; y Cayo Coco, con una ruta desde Monreal a partir del 5 de junio y de Toronto desde el 20. También Cancún, Barbados, Guadalupe y Bahía Montego se abren el próximo mes.
También ofrecerá servicio a Cancún, Barbados, Bahía Montego, París, Atenas y Barcelona, entre otros.
“Si bien nuestra industria debe continuar adaptándose a nuestras realidades en constante cambio, nos complace compartir las noticias del regreso gradual de las operaciones en junio, en los últimos meses, todos hemos estado lidiando con las circunstancias sin precedentes causadas por la pandemia de COVID-19, si bien la rápida evolución de la crisis ha significado que hemos tenido que ser más ágiles en la planificación para el futuro, creemos que todos estamos ansiosos por comenzar a restaurar los viajes muy pronto” dijo Montagnese en referencia a que esa aerolínea tuvo que cancelar al menos 160 vuelos por la emergencia sanitaria.
El cronograma operativo para junio ya está disponible en aircanada.com, anunció el directivo, aunque CiberCuba constató que todavía no aparecen las fechas específicas para Cuba.
Reitera que Air Canada es un grupo “líder en la industria, comprometido con protocolos de salud y seguridad de extremo a extremo destinados a garantizar que los viajeros puedan volar con confianza”.
El 24 de marzo el gobierno cubano cerró sus fronteras para impedir la propagación del coronavirus en la isla, aunque dispuso que podían entrar al país los vuelos con cubanos residentes. Sin embargo, la medida se endureció el 1 de abril, cuando se cerraron totalmente las vías de acceso para todos los viajeros.
El gobierno cubano no se ha pronunciado sobre la reanudación de los vuelos regulares y chárter a la isla. En las últimas semanas solo ha permitido el arribo de aviones para la repatriación de extranjeros y emigrados varados en el territorio nacional.
CANADIAN AIRLINE TO RESUME ITS FLIGHTS TO CUBA IN JUNE
