Luisa Georgina Cabrera Parada, mas conocida en el mundo artistico como Gina Cabrera nacio en la Habana el 28 de Mayo de 1928 y este pasado mes cumplio sus 92 anos de su larga vida que con el tiempo la harian devenir en Cuba como la gran dama de la Actuacion Cubana.

De la talentosa y paradigmática joven, quien comenzó en la radio a finales de la década de los años cuarenta del pasado siglo. Su primera manifestación artística: Declamación de poesía “A los ojos de mi madre”. (7 años) Actriz infantil en CMBY (La Casa de las Medias) en la compañía infantil Arturo Rodríguez del Teatro Martí, en la Comedia y en todos los Colegios. Estudio en el Colegio Heredia, en Nuestra Señora del Pilar, en el Instituto de la Habana, en la Universidad de la Habana (Filología y Letras Españolas).

La excelsa artista, que aunó talento, modestia y belleza, asumió como nadie papeles protagónicos en novelas, seriales, aventuras, teatros y cuentos. Gina es evocada por todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de verla asumir majestuosamente papeles en los que solía recorrer todos los caracteres y matices acordes con su excepcional profesionalidad.

Colaboraciones con numerosos creadores dentro del mundo del arte (Cine, teatro, TV, nacionales y extranjeros) Como es de suponer ha interpretado casi a todos los autores famosos lo mismo en cualquiera de los géneros en que ha incursionado (Teatro, Radio, TV y Cine, en este último filmando varias películas en México.

No obstante el tiempo transcurrido desde que con su presencia deslumbró en el teatro, la radio, la televisión y el cine, Gina Cabrera es recordada por sus compañeros de trabajo y el público.
