ARTISTAS CUBANOS QUE HAN PASADO A NUESTRA HISTORIA MUSICAL.
Sin duda, existen varios músicos cubanos que tras su llegada a Estados Unidos han logrado fama y reconocimiento, dejando en alto el nombre de nuestro país al alcanzar importantes metas.
Gracias a su empeño, tenacidad y dedicación lograron hacerse del éxito, demostrando que, sin duda, querer es poder.
Entre estas personalidades, podemos mencionar por ejemplo a Miguel Bezos, padre de Jeff Bezos, fundador de Amazon; o también el empresario José Caymarés, por nombrar algunos.

CELIA CRUZ
Al hablar de músicos cubanos que han hecho historia en Estados Unidos, sin duda necesitamos mencionar a la talentosa y siempre amada cantante Celia Cruz.
Esta distinguida artista, nació en la ciudad de La Habana el 21 de octubre de 1921 donde inició su carrera artística en 1948 en una agrupación. Como resultado, Celia destacó entre las demás integrantes del grupo permitiéndole alcanzar gran éxito en escenarios de Venezuela y México.

No obstante, al igual que muchos otros cubanos sus desacuerdos con el gobierno castrista le impidieron permanecer en Cuba y se radica en Estados Unidos.
Como resultado, pese a los duros momentos que tuvo que vivir, un caudal de éxitos y triunfos llovieron sobre Celia, convirtiéndola en “La Reina de la Salsa”. Durante su permanencia en Estados Unidos, la artista se radicó en Nueva York y posteriormente contrajo matrimonio con Pedro Knight.
Asimismo, aunque no tuvo hijos biológicos, junto diversos músicos cubanos e internacionales, “parió” en Estados Unidos maravillas que desarrollaron el género de la salsa. Esto, sobre todo tras su participación en la afamada agrupación “Fania All Stars” y posteriormente al lanzarse como cantante solista en 1965.
Además, ese mismo año, Celia logra el sueño de muchos cubanos en Estados Unidos y alcanza la ciudadanía americana, tras llevar un proceso de asilo. Como resultado, tanto ella como su esposo se convirtieron en norteamericanos.
Durante su estancia en Estados Unidos, Celia Cruz alcanzó importantes logros personales y musicales, convirtiéndola en un modelo para muchos otros músicos cubanos. Entre sus más grandes triunfos está el lanzamiento de varios discos que batieron records en ventas, y además, la hicieron merecedora de múltiples premios.
Otro extraordinario ejemplo de exitosos músicos cubanos en Estados Unidos es la encantadora cantante y empresaria Gloria Estefan. En primer lugar, Gloria María Fajardo, nació en La Habana en septiembre de 1957, pero con solo 1 año de edad tuvo que despedirse de su país.

Como ya habíamos comentado previamente, sin duda, Emilio y Gloria Estefan son icónicos e insignes músicos cubanos que emergieron en Estados Unidos. Al igual que Gloria, Emilio también nació en Cuba pero tuvo que salir junto a su familia cuando apenas era un pequeño, instalándose en España.
No obstante, años más tardes vuelve a vivir es proceso de emigrar y llega a un apartamento en Miami, donde vivió junto a otros familiares. Seguidamente, empieza a obtener oportunidades laborales desempeñándose en varias organizaciones de belleza locales y en el emporio Bacardí.
