Julio Antonio Sánchez González, mejor conocido sólo como Julio Camejo nació en La Habana, Cuba el 29 de octubre de 1977. Es un actor y bailarín cubano mexicano. Ha realizado varias telenovelas mexicanas. Es mejor conocido por su papel de Veneno en la telenovela ‘Contra Viento y Marea’ y Francisco en ‘Destilando Amor’.
Estudió en la Escuela Nacional de Arte y en la Escuela Superior de Arte, baile clásico, moderno, acrobacia, malabares, música, arte dramático, composición y bailarín profesional son algunos de sus atributos profesionales. Pero un accidente en el talón de Aquiles lo imposibilitó para continuar con su carrera, por lo que se vio obligado a cambiarla.
Estudió en el Centro de Estudios Artísticos (CEA) de Televisa. Su experiencia rebasa estándares, ya que ganó el Premio Nacional de las Artes a la Mejor Actuación por la puesta en escena Solo y desnudo, misma que ha sido presentada en México, Colombia y otros países.
Obtuvo el premio Yuri Manik por la obra ‘Tragedia de un clown’. En México se integró a la comedia musical ‘Fama’. Tiempo después conoció a Thalía y fue invitado a participar como su bailarín principal. Olga Tañón y Celia Cruz también figuran en su amplia trayectoria artística.
Es el creador del concepto ‘Dueto Mix’, mismo que fue promovido por Javier Vidal, director de Intermódel. Después de eso su carrera tuvo aún mayor auge, pues hizo teatro al lado de Gustavo Rojo y Lilia Michel.
En Estados Unidos participó en el film ‘Dark soul 101’.
Con Pedro Damián participó en ‘Primer amor a mil por hora’. Después vinieron otras telenovelas como: ‘Aventuras en el tiempo’, ‘Vivan los niños’,’ De pocas, pocas pulgas’ y ‘Clase 406’.
Entre sus particularidades, el canto también es algo que se le da con facilidad. En el año 2000 incursionó en este medio con la agrupación R-Boots, banda con la que fue telonero de Los Tigres del Norte.
En 2003 inicia las grabaciones de la telenovela ‘Amar otra vez’, bajo la producción de Lucero Suárez, este melodrama se estrena en enero de 2004 en Estados Unidos y en mayo del mismo año en México. También ha hecho participaciones especiales en el programa Mujer: ‘Casos de la vida real’.
En marzo de 2004, ingresa al lado de 14 famosos a la casa de Big Brother VIP. En octubre de 2004 forma parte de la telenovela juvenil Rebelde, producción de Pedro Damián.
‘Contra viento y marea’, telenovela de Nicandro Díaz fue el melodrama que le dio la oportunidad de interpretar a ‘Veneno’ en 2005, al lado de los protagonistas Marlene Favela y Sebastián Rulli.
En 2006 interpreta a ‘Paco’ en la telenovela juvenil ‘Amar sin límites’. El mismo año fue uno de los participantes del reality show, Bailando por la boda de mis sueños.
En 2007 participa en la telenovela ‘Destilando amor’. El mismo año, participa en la producción de la telenovela ‘Tormenta en el paraíso’.
En 2008 lanza su primer disco en solitario, Julio Camejo, con el que explora varios géneros musicales como el hip hop, el reggaeton, la banda y el rap, entre otros. «Acábame de matar» fue su primer sencillo, además grabó un dueto con el reggaetonero Big Metra, titulado «Una sencilla canción de amor».

Julio Antonio Sánchez González, better known only as Julio Camejo, was born in Havana, Cuba on October 29, 1977. He is a Mexican Cuban actor and dancer. He has made several Mexican soap operas. He is best known for his role as Veneno in the telenovela ‘Contra Viento y Marea’ and Francisco in ‘Destilando Amor’.
He studied at the National School of Art and at the Superior School of Art, classical and modern dance, acrobatics, juggling, music, dramatic art, composition, and professional dancer are some of his professional attributes. But an accident on the Achilles heel made it impossible for him to continue his career, so he was forced to change it.
He studied at the Center for Artistic Studies (CEA) of Televisa. His experience exceeds standards, since he won the National Prize of the Arts for Best Performance for the staging Alone and naked, which has been presented in Mexico, Colombia, and other countries.
