Idalmis Del Risco, a Cuban-Mexican actress known primarily for her starring roles in “Línea Noche” (2006), “Polvo de Angel” (2007), and “Guantanamera” (1995) a German/ Cuban/ Spanish production directed by Tomás Gutierrez Alea and Juan Carlos Tabio, the latter who recently passed away in Havana.
Idalmis del Risco was born in the city of Camaguey, Cuba on July 14, 1965, and has produced, directed, and acted in other outstanding national and international television, film, and radio productions.

Being 8 years old he replaced an actor and played Washington Meyer, it was a great challenge, because being so young he had to characterize himself and in record time prepare for a leading character, in “The Days of the Commune”, a work by Bertold Brecht, directed by German director Hans Fissher. Idalmis Risco en “Roble de Olor” (Trailer)
She has starred in soap operas, serials, magazines, musical comedies and soap operas on Cuban television and numerous Cuban and universal theater plays. She highlighted her performances in: ‘A dove, a star’, directed by Flora Lawten, and ‘The sunrises are here peaceful’, under the direction of María Elena Espinosa. She directed a Cuban theater classic ‘Requiem by Yarin’i for the radio and directed, wrote, and produced two documentaries:’ Al naked ‘and’ El imberbe ‘.
She is currently working in Mexico D.F. where she directed the documentary ‘The night moves’, for TV UNAM; He directed the stage direction of the 58-program series ‘Conjuros’ (ILCE), production management of the series ‘The teachings of Don Próspero’ (ILCE), the direction of actors and the production of the fiction short ‘Dracula and Juliet’ for the Ibero-American University of Puebla and the production management of a series of educational programs of the SEP and of the TV series ‘Línea Noche’.

In “Guantanamera”, which is a satire on life in Cuba. The members of a funeral procession and some truckers who have to take the same road begin to talk about God and the world, ending up discovering that the lives of both groups have many similarities as well as many differences depending on the point of view. Idalmis plays the character of Hilda.
In 2008 she presented in Mexico the monologue ‘Vivir a ciegas’ of her authorship and direction, and she also stars in the character of the nurse in the film ‘House arrest’, directed by Gabriel Retes.
She co-starred in the film “Polvo de Ángel”, directed by Oscar Blancarte, which premiered in Bogotá, a Mexico-Colombia production. CARRERA ARTISTICA
Graduada como actriz en la Escuela Nacional de Arte (ENA) y en el Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) en la especialidad de Dirección de la Licenciatura en los Medios de Comunicación Audiovisual. Cursó, además, estudios de ballet, gimnasia y artes plásticas.
Ha protagonizado telenovelas, seriales, revistas, comedias musicales y teleteatros en la televisión cubana y numerosas obras de teatro cubano y universal. Se destaco sus actuaciones en: ‘Una paloma, una estrella’, dirigida por Flora Lawten y ‘Los amaneceres son aquí apacibles’, bajo la dirección de María Elena Espinosa. Idalmis del Risco “Entre Cuba y Mexico todo es Bonito y Sabroso” (Avances)
En la actualidad está trabajando en México D.F. donde dirigió el documental ‘La noche se mueve’, para TV UNAM; hizo la dirección escénica de la serie de 58 programas ‘Conjuros’ (ILCE), gerencia de producción de la serie ‘Las enseñanzas de Don Próspero’ (ILCE), la dirección de actores y la producción del corto de ficción ‘Drácula y Julieta’ para la Universidad Iberoamericana de Puebla y la gerencia de producción de una serie de programas educativos de la SEP y en el de serie de TV ‘Línea nocturna’.
En Cuba protagonizó telenovelas, seriales y teleteatros en la televisión y Numerosas obras de teatro cubano y universal, entre las que se Destacan ‘Una paloma, una estrella; ‘Los amaneceres son aquí apacibles’; ‘Otelo’, ‘Los Gemelos’; ‘Contigo pan y cebolla’, ‘La fierecilla domada’ y ‘Las siete patas del Diablo’.
Dentro de su filmografía podemos verla en ‘Guantanamera’ de Tomás Gutiérrez Alea, ‘Alicia en el País de las Maravillas’ de Daniel Díaz Torres; ‘Polvo de Ángel’ de Oscar Blancarte. En “Guantanamera”, que es una sátira sobre la vida en Cuba. Los integrantes de un cortejo fúnebre y algunos camioneros que tienen que tomar el mismo camino comienzan a hablar de dios y del mundo terminando descubriendo que la vida de ambos grupos tiene muchas similitudes así como muchas diferencias según el punto de vista. Idalmis interpreta el personaje de Hilda.

Actualmente tiene su domicilio permanente en la Capital de Mexico, Distrito Federal.
Su compañero en la vida es Carlos Sánchez Sosa, co-productor general del audiovisual de “Entre Mexico y Cuba todo es Bonito y Sabroso”. Una obra que en estreno contó con la colaboración de MotZorongo TV y el Instituto Cubano del Arte e Industria
